Can I rant for a sec??? I have no one irl ( well here in Germany anyway) to rant to

DH's family is driving me nuts! They ALL want to come over on saturday. That is 9 people! No one asks me if it is ok or if I am feeling up to it! They all TELL dh when they are comming! And bil is bringing his 2 crazy jack russel terriers! We have a dog too, they will be running all over the place!

I can just imagine how everyone will want to hold the baby, how my mil : will run around acting like ohhhh I don't know. She will try to show off with my baby. She will give me advice that I could just shove in the toilet, how I am spoiling my baby by letting her sleep in the bed with us uhhh it is ok for the dog to be spoiled but not the baby??

I feel like ripping my hair out over saturday. Ashlee is not sleeping well at night, I am awake with her for around 3 hours sometimes more. I NEED a nap in the late morning or early afternoon. Why Why are they doing this to me and my baby. When she has a day with a lot of action she is really crabby. This is not good and there is no way of telling them to go home.

What should I do?????? Grin and bare it?? Why does DH think that this is such a wonderful idea? Why oh why doesn't he understand my wish to be alone with him and our baby? Man I wish it were sunday.

They won't care if I am sick! The inlaws were really sick after they got home from a cruise 2 weeks ago. No one told me, only that we HAD to go and visit them. They both were really sick and fil had cold sores all over his mouth! Mil spent the entire flight back in the bathroom, fil hadn't eaten in four days. What were they thinking! See they won't care, they only care about their own wants about seeing my baby.

Thank god that Ashlee didn't get sick.

I dont know how big your home is .. but is it possible to go to a quiet part of your home with your baby several times throughout their visit. If yes - make sure you put a no-disturb sign on your door so that someone doesn't knock and disturb you. You can use the baby as an excuse that she needs feeding or changing or napping etc.

I always feel over-whelmed by lots of company in my home so I quite often will go to my bedroom for little mini breaks just to sit quiet and have some peace. My DH is very outgoing and I don't think anyone even notices I'm gone (LOL)
