Okay, here are mine after all my blabbing about what causes early showing in later pregnancies! Now you can see what I'm blessed with, and why my neighbor (who was a doula) asked if I was 20 weeks yet when I was 7 weeks. I am genetically predisposed to be VERY flexible and so I know my muscles are just giving it all up this time around (as evidenced by my ample stretch marks - my body EXPANDS!) This is my 4th pregnancy, third living child. Yes, it's gooshy and I fully realize I'm displaying my intestines for all to see - but, it's evidence of this precious baby and for that I'm proud to be round! Oh, and I was losing a few pounds in weeks 4-8 - I think I've stopped that now that the nausea is lessened.

Kay so I'm 7 weeks now - and Kim looked over at me the other night and went "Oh my god you have a belly!"
I pouted...not happy to see a belly so early...but she is thrilled!
She thinks its cute and so I guess I can live with it

It is cute!

I'm 10w1d and still not showing. What I do have is major bloating by the end of every day that makes me *look* like I'm showing, but it's not a baby pushing the belly out. Just retained water and gas, I guess.

Expecting #2 in May 2013!

I'm so jealous of all the cute bellies. I probably won't be posting a pic for awhile. I tend not to show very early b/c my torso is so long. I thought for sure being my 4th I'd be all ready to throw a pic up there early. Mother Nature has other ideas. My babies like to hide.

Here is my 10 week shot:

10 weeks pregnant with #3

Click the arrows at the top to scroll through other weeks.

Question for you ladies - what time of day do you take your belly shots? I always take mine just before bed, and since I'm still very affected in belly size/shape by my intestines, the end of the day is a much larger shape than the first part of the day. Just wondering . . .

I've been taking mine first thing in the morning so when it's more than end-of-the-day bloat, I'll be able to tell!

Hi all, here is my latest photo:

11 weeks

I'll note that I was cramping for about 20 hours preceeding this photo due to some pretty serious dehydration. I had an outdoor booth at a festival where I worked HARD for 12 hours each of two days. Pretty scary, but the spotting and cramping stopped after I flooded myself with water. I'm trying to get an ultrasound to check in soon . . .

Here is 11 weeks:

I'm feeling rather blobbish. But I've definitely noticed growth from last week, so I guess at least something is happening down there!

Well this is me at 12 weeks 2 days. The bulge is just fat. Pure and simple. I don't usually wear such bright clothing, either. But we're doing work on the house and it's a dusty disaster.

I'll post some soon. I started an account on photobucket but there's something funky going on. I have to create a new account or something. I'll get to it in a few days. I feel like I'm "showing" but it's really just fat. I remember my tummy being so taut with my first but this time--oy--it's cute when I'm standing but when I sit it's one huge roll (or two or three).

That's my problem right now too. I haven't gained a single pound, but my waist is really thick and I have an obvious bump. When I sit, though, it just turns into rolls. My belly was almost completely flat before this, and as I said I haven't gained any weight, so I don't know what's up with it. :

Oh, and to GathererGirl, you're showing your intestines right now, as crazy as that sounds. Your abdominal muscles have gotten nice and relaxed and intestines just go wherever they can!~ If you haven't gained weight and didn't have belly fat before, and it rolls up when you sit, then that's GOT to be it. Just take heart in knowing that what's happening to you is definitely, most assuredly because you are pregnant - not from any overindulgence or other self-blaming thing you could think of. I too have the sloshy belly and I was losing weight for the first few weeks . . . although I did have a little belly fat to begin with. But, I know the main reason for my bulge is my abdominal muscles relaxing. I take that as a sign of ease in opening for birth in another 5-6 months! It certainly was last time!

:

The way my midwife explained it, is that your uterus is down in your pelvis still (just starting to move up past it now), however as it grows and expands, it pushes everything that was down there, up. So,all your intestines and things were down low, are pushed up and they bulge out.

NO FAIR! I realize it's b/c our bodies are experienced now, but....wah! it didn't happen the first time! I'm kinda hard on myself body-wise so this is really tough on me. I'm trying to be o.k. with it but, intestines or not, I feel gross.
