i went on a crazy long walk today, but now i'm just in pelvic pain and no baby. i have to say that i really assumed that she would be quite early and now i'm realizing what a mind game that can play on you. :

at the same time it just starts to seem kind of normal being enormously pregnant, hardly able to move and getting tons of contractions.

No sign that labor is going to start any time soon for me. But I have plans for a long, hard walk tomorrow to see if that might start things up, like it has for me in the past.

supa - sorry it didn't work for you. Ugh, I'm imagining the pain and exhaustion without any labor to show for all the effort.

Still pregnant. What a surprise. sigh.

My bellybutton is super itchy today. I wonder if that means anything... lol!

No contractions to speak of today. But at least it's not likely that baby will share his/ her aunt's birthday...

39w3d..still pregnant. My DS was born at 39w5d. I would love to check myself for dilation, etc, since my OB doesn't do routine vaginal exams...but I'm clueless--I have no idea what i'm looking for. I'm feeling slightly more optimistic today, though, that I won't be pregnant forever.

DH called his mom today and told her that we weren't coming to Easter dinner tomorrow for various reasons, partially because I'm feeling so crummy and because we'd like to have the day to ourselves/to spend with some close friends. She threw a hissy fit, and started crying on the phone and then just passed it to FIL and refused to talk to us. The whole thing is just really stressing me out, which is the last thing I need right now and I want DH to just call back and say FINE, we'll come for dinner, yk? Just so I don't have to deal with the guilt and then the stress of her coming over after the new baby is born w/ hurt feelings still. I think it was really rude of her to be so inconsiderate of the fact that I feel like crap (and frankly don't want to deal with "when is that baby gonna come?" comments all day). But, I dunno...wwyd?

Erin, Catholic mama to three sweet boys: Ambrose (11/06),  Peter (3/08), and Joseph (9/10) and a sweet girl, Charlotte (7/12/12).

Joyfully expecting #5 April 2014!

That's terrible. I realized several years ago that, "I don't feel well" means absolutely nothing to some people. Personally, I would go to the dinner just because I would get to eat and not do any prep or cleanup. Can you just go for part of the day?

My long, brisk walk appears to have done nothing for me. I enjoyed the outing and fresh air, but nada going on in the labor department. I had more BH contractions yesterday than I've had today, that's for sure.

I'm kinda bummed - my preferred company for childcare during labor will be out of town from tomorrow afternoon through my due date in the middle of the week. I want this baby out... BUT I don't want to have to pick from a list of back-up people, either. Sigh.

I guess technically I could start labor now and still be in the clear, or even have my ideallic Easter baby, but I'm doubtful. Very, very doubtful.

DH joked tonight that if we have the baby tomorrow he's gonna nickname it JC Jr., for the second coming of you know who...being that it's Easter and all. He also found a baby t-shirt at a garage sale that says "Cuter than Baby Jesus", which he wants to put on our 20 month old to freak out our super religous grandparents.
So here I am still preggo, and I decided to make eggplant parmigiana for dinner, and now I am munching on sliced pineapple, don't look too promising but it was yummy:.

Well today I am feeling extra barfy (though haven't actually barfed) and the baby is moving A LOT...more then normal and a lot of the movements are kind of painful (enough to wake me up from a nap). Could this mean anything??

still here as well... off and on mild contractions today, just like two days last week.

The checkout lady asked me today if I was "almost done". I wasn't sure what to say for a moment, then squeaked "I hope so!" before waddling off before she could ask any more questions, like if I was having twins (someone DID want to know once... and honestly, compared to most of the pregnant women I know, my bump is not that big!), or when I was due.

Christian wife, busy happy mama to 4yo DS, 3yo DD, 15mo DS, and #4, expected next spring!

Not if my experience is anything to go on... I've been feeling this way for 3-4 days now.

Tonight I just don't want to lie down because I feel so icky.

40+6 over here. I still don't think this baby will ever come on it's own. I have had no contractions to speak of, yet (ever?). I honestly feel very discouraged and really think that I'm headed towards another C-section (my first was due to this very same thing. . nothin' happenin at all).

Due today! ding! time's up! she's done! Come on out now...
Hoping for my easter baby!
Maybe labor will save me from sitting another 4 hour meal with the in-laws where it's all in French and I still don't understand most of it!!!

Hi, we're still here.
My 'official' due date is next wed march 26. I feel like im growing alot and the baby is going to be big! I can barely turn over at night now, and i finally have stretch marks (i managed to avoid them until about a week ago) Tummy feels itchy, and that abdomen muscle (you know where the line/linea negra goes up...) feels under some strain. Not sure if i can go much longer if i keep growing like this! Now im getting scared the baby has no room and wont make it...:-( im paranoid because last time i was a week overdue and they induced me.) i seem to grow big babies.

This time im planning a homebirth.

i mean, its one thing going beyond 40 weeks, but what if you h ave a big baby, and go beyond 40 weeks?

I get contractions when i walk, but not much otherwise. No more period pain in the morning.
Cant wait to meet this baby!

There should be a prize, like a vacation to Hawaii or a new car or something WAY cool given to mamas who are the last in the DDCs to give birth...
