I have a base from my SIL's 2004 Graco. Do the bases expire? I HAVE to get rid of the Combi bucket I currently have as we HATE it, and I'm thinking about borrowing a Graco. I'd like to use SIL's base as an extra in my dad's car, but I won't attempt if it expires.

Yes, they expire in the same standard six years as car seats do. There should be a sticker on the side of the seat with the date of manufacture. Make sure to look at that - even if they purchased it in 2004, it may have been manufactured before that.

If it a SnugRide base then it can only be used with the original SnugRide carseat, not the SafeSeat or the new Snugride 32.

There is no way to happiness, happiness is the way.
