I know I saw somewhere on this board the new guidelines on when to replace your car seat after an accident but I cannot locate it.

Yesterday my son and I were in a small fender bender. He was in his Britax Boulevard fast asleep when it happened. He never even woke up. There are a few small rubbed marks on the bumper but nothing that needs repair. The airbags did not deploy. I was going maybe 10 MPH after turning out of a parking lot.

Do I need to replace the seat?

Yep, Britax is the only manufacturer that goes by the NHTSA criteria

Are you sure? I thought SKJP did also. I was also told on the phone by one of the techs at The First Years that they went by the guidelines as well when I called to see if I needed to replace after a very minor collision last winter.

I believe that Britax is the only manufacturer that follows the NHTSA criteria for all their seats. SKJP only follows it for their booster, the Monterey, I think. The Radians are supposed to be replaced after "any accident" according to the manual. The True Fit by Learning Curve/The First Years is also not to be used after a crash according to the manual. I don't know about the Learning Curve boosters, though.
