This is my Safety First Complete Air in a 2008 Mitsubishi Outlander. RF on the passenger side.

My biggest concern is the angle. Is he reclined enough?

My second concern is the height of the headrest. Is it high enough? Or do I need to pull it up some?

Finally, a question: Is the back of the carseat allowed to (gently) touch the back of the front passenger seat? I'm confused about whether it has to be OK'd by Safety First, or Mitsubishi, or both. And I also don't know where to find that info, esp for the car. Couldn't find anything in the manual, but also didn't scour it too hard.

Thanks!

The angle looks great as does the headrest.

As for touching, Safety first allows touching, but you have to read the airbag and child restraint section of your vehicle manual to see if it's ok by Mitsubishi. Some cars with smart air bags do not allow it (mine doesn't - I drive a Sienna).

The angle looks good. I don't know anything about the headrest - my seat is different.

That's more than enough recline for a child of that age....you could go as upright as 30 degrees, but he looks very comfy at that angle.
The headrest LOOKS right...just be sure the harness it AT or BELOW his shoulders..it looks like it curves around a little and is right at or a smidge below...I highly doubt you can raise it, because it would put the harness slots well above his shoulders, wouldn't it?
MY son rides in that same seat!

The harness straps are fine- they're below his shoulders. You can't see too well in the pic, I know. We could raise the headrest if we needed to.

SOmeone over at car-seat.org said that the harness clip is a little low, which I was shocked to read. This is honestly a smidge higher than I usually put it, to tell the truth.

He looks like such a big boy in this picture! I can't get over it! Where did my baby go?

The chest clip is supposed to be nipple to armpit level, and it looks fine to me.

It looks more than reclined enough, but the chest clip is too low
