We may be getting an 86 Chrysler LeBaron Convertible (We are getting it for a song!). Anyhow, the idea is for me to drive it when I just have the littles and save gas, instead of driving our 12 passenger van. Is there any issue with having carseats in a convertible? This is Michigan, so the top will probably up most of the time if that matters...

DH drives a Mazda Miata, and occasionally takes DS in his RFing MyRide. It doesn't happen very often... Only if our pontiac Vbie isn't available for some reason. But DS LOVES riding in that "Miata Car." Since it's only a two seater, we just make sure to turn the airbag off. Oh, and for my sake, I absolutely will not allow DH to put the top down if he's driving on the highway. I have this fear of things flying into the car at high speeds.

My boys ride in their dad's SLK. I have no issues with it. Their heads are well below the roll over support parts and they are properly restrained.

Happily married to my dh, mama to ds1 (01/2005), ds2 (07/2007)  and dd (07/2009).
