Any reviews on this?  How high is the shell?  I saw it referenced as an "actual" 3-in-1 seat (that could be used from birth all the way through 7-8 so I was intrigued.

Skip it.  It doesn't fit newborns safely, the harness can't be tightened correctly, it's outgrown rear facing by height around the same time as the My Ride, the top slots aren't that high, and it's outgrown as a booster far too early for a child to pass the 5 step test.  It's no more the only seat you'd ever need than any other 3-in-1.
