So here is my dilemma, I have 3 children in a 06 Buick Rendezvous. It has a center shoulder strap that comes down from the ceiling but is comes unhooked from the lap belt very very easily. The center has no head rest. I have a 14 yr old, a 5 (will be 6 in June) in a True Fit and a 7 yr old in a graco tall back booster. Right now we are perfect for safely riding in the car. But in a yr our true fit expires, so I will put my then almost 8 yr old in a tall back booster as well.

My problem comes in that I can't have my 14 yr old ride in the middle with no head rest and I can't have one of the tall back boosters in the middle because the shoulder strap will randomly fly up to the ceiling during the car ride and we have to pull over and fix it. (we tried the True fit outboard and tall back in middle when we first bought our car).

What are my options short of buying a new vehicle which is not going to happen. Is there a way to order new parts for the center shoulder strap so it stays connected? I feel like that is our best option.

The shoulder belt should not easily disconnect.  I would see about having that repaired.  That would solve your problem.

You may have better luck calling the service department of your local dealership.
