What is the dosage for B6 for morning sickness?

My ms increased without warning today. Before I would have some time after I woke up to do my business and grab a snack but today I was ugh from the get-go. Im getting horrible sleep, riddled with stupid dreams and I wake up with my heart pounding at an unnatural rate, which of course makes me more nauseated... I can't stomach water and my lips are cracked and my pee is neon orange so I know I'm horribly dehydrated (its not vitamins, I cant get them down, just folic acid and vitamins in teas) and my goal for the day is to get down 100oz of water but it is excruciating.

I think today might be the first day I can't hold it off anymore. I am terrified of vomitting. I don't wanna go there. :

Anna!!! I have been wondering what the B6 dosage is too... this dull nausea thing is getting to the point where I definitely can't ignore it as easily!!

I felt the same way before I started throwing up. I didn't want to do it.

The booklet my midwife gave me says 25-50 mg 3 times a day.

Also I read some where that taking ginger in capsule form worked better than just eating it.

Aww, honey, I hate throwing up too. Hate it with a passion. I've maybe only done it 15 times in my life; I'm 31 and a few of those were hangovers. I know what you mean about the water. I have cut way back on drinking the last few days for the same reason and of course I'm worrying about it. Have you tried adding lemon or lime juice to your water? The lemon helps me get it down. Hang in there, I hope you make it through the day OK.

I have to be the wierdest woman ever because I am not in love with lemon, ginger, mint, all of that turns my stomach. Lemon has always made me hungry but since I dont want to eat it just feels like my stomach is eating itself.

Even gatorade, my guilty pleasure, sounds horrible.

What about soup or broth of some sort?

I succumbed to some Powerade last night - the blue kind : Sorry Gatorade isn't working for you either.

Eugh broth no, not right now. Most of these days I want soup of some sort but today is different, my stomach is threatening to expel anything. Much to my dismay!!

Lol the blue kind. I dont understand the flavors either. "Midnight Ice"? Wtf does THAT taste like?

Midnight Ice brings to mind sand/salt trucks and car crashes. Yum, salty sandy Powerade! I have always wondered about the Gatorade Rain ones... where did they come up with that name?

I'll stop torturing you with suggestions. I'm currently trying to block out my mental rehashing of what I ate for lunch. I don't know why I do that to myself... I eat, and then shortly after I start thinking how gross it was.

I do the same thing for some reason.

My husband likes to run into the room, yell "Runny eggs!" and run away laughing.

OMG that is so cruel!

My poor DH, on the other hand... when I get to a point where something he loves (i.e. Pad Thai) sounds good to me, he'll say, "Now don't think about it too hard..." We were on a really healthy eating plan together, we were both losing weight, and now that I've abandoned that he's sort of on his own...

The midwife also told me that cheese was good for settling your tummy. So maybe some : cheese soup? Also she suggest salty peanuts. I tried that and it didn't work to well for me. Gatorade makes me feel worse.

I'm really sorry you're feeling so aweful . Not to get off topic, but is waking up with a pounding heart frequent in pregnancy? I haven't heard it before as a symptom but it's been happening to me for the last 2 weeks every time I lay down for a nap (which is, like 3x a day). I'm beginning to worry about it actually. :-/

I get the pounding heart thing too. It is normally a dream that makes me wake up. I've been having really really bad ones.

But for me normally I some times wake up with a start and my heart is trying to find it's way out of my chest. It shouldn't be anything but if it bothers you talk to some one about it.

Have you tried diluting gatorade? Straight gatorade can be pretty rough on my tummy when I'm nauseas, but I find that a 50/50 dilution is easier to stomach. I've also found popsicles to be helpful.

Im slowly coming out of a nastified stage so Im trying to figure out what to eat that will last me a while, I dont have long. Watered down gatorade sounds bearable now but I dont know how long that will be true.

I know its gross, but at least if you can get down gatorade, it dulls the erm... flavor of everything else when it comes back up

i never wanna eat and i never want to hurl either. unfortunately, both are a part of daily life now. I can't stomach the thought of gatorade...the colors are just SO not right plus when i was a kid my older brother used to tell me the only flavor that i LIKED which was lemonade, was really "Hillbilly Pee"...so i am unable to drink it withouth thinking of some mountain man yodeling and peeing into a gatorade bottle ROFL

flat coke is saving my a$$ right now to be honest. I don't know what i'd do without it. I don't even enjoy it, but it really helps to take sips.

What about Vitamin Water? It's basically Gatorade without the funky colors and HFCS ;-).

I just had a grilled cheese sandwich and I'm not having a glass of water with a cap full of lemon juice in it... not so tasty... but I'm feeling better than I was.

The pounding heart (also called tachycardia) is fairly common during pregnancy but can also be a symptom of anemia.
