I just wanted to share this. Last week when DH and I visited his folks (they live 3 hours away), she handed me these sheets of pretty paper with her perfect handwriting on them. The front page said:

Couldn't Find a card that suited, hope you enjoy this. ♥ XOXO

and so it reads...

Jordan and Greg

Expecting a little baby
a healthy girl or boy
Full of anticipation
you fill our lives with joy

one day you'll feel a flutter
and your eyes will fill with tears
this growing little baby
to love throughout the years

Jord, hopefully you'll not be sick
cause that would be a drag
sweet sympathetic Greg-Ree
might also choke and gag

Next thing you know, that flutter
has turned into a kick
and no more everyday clothes
your tummy's getting thick

There's doctors, iron, vitamins
and even ultrasounds
you'll find it so exciting
to parenthood, you're bound

Before you even realize
the babe does flips and flops
and sleep is intermittent
cause it sometimes never stops

This tiny little person
already full of charms
you can hardly wait to meet the babe
and hold it in your arms

You're prepped and packed and take the course
special de-li-ver-ry!
You both support eachother and
how wonderful you'll be

Two of the nicest people
to ever grace this earth
now you'll be known as 'mom' and dad'
with this gift of birth

And Dad and I, we graduate
with pride we see you grown
and now you'll give the greatest joy
that we have ever known.

Love,
Mom and Dad "Grandma and Grandpa Mack"

I honestly do have the BEST MIL ever. She really is incredible. I'm so excited to make her a Grandma!

Awww... that got my cheeks wet!

My MIL started giving me advice on dealing with sibling rivalry when we announced our pregnancy... of course, since DH is an only child, this was all hypothetical knowledge on her part... stuff she'd "heard" works. Uh, thanks. I think I have it covered.
