I started contracting at 2:15 am April 5th, and contracted all day long until they were 3 minutes apart around 8 pm. We checked into the hospital a little after 9 and I was 4 cm. An hour later my water broke and I was 5, but by 3:00 pm on April 6th, I was still not past 6, even though I'd been given more and more and more pitocin for the last 6 hours, as well as tried every position we could. At that point I just couldn't take the pain anymore. (and 4 hours before, the OB on call walked in and said I needed a c-section then, but we disuaded him). So, we ended up with a c-section because the baby's heartrate started dropping, and she had just taken her first poo in the womb.
Regardless of how stubborn she is, she's still beautiful. She's nursing well. We had some issues with latch last night, but she's been doing well today.

Take *good* care of yourself. You've got some serious recovering to do.
I am so sorry about the c/s. It so hard when things dont go as we had hoped. Sending lots of healing vibes to you as you process it all.
: for healing (both physically and emotionally) from your c/s.

Just use this time to enjoy and stare at her, she will change within the week! But in time (i started months later) i grieved over the fact that i had a similar labor and c-s. took me 2 years to let go what happened. So know its normal, but you have a healthy sweet girl and its so worth it!
Peace to you this night mama!
Enjoy your babymoon!
