Amy, I totally forgot you're on the clock! You've got until Wednesday?

Gottecat, PuppyFluffer, when is your EDD? I just say Heather and I because we're both "due the 30th", which probably means "June 14."

When is your date? I thought you were close to me too, but I can't remember.

Yes, I have until Wednesday. My date is the 30th as well but they don't schedule c-sections on Thursdays or Fridays.

Oh you've got to be kidding me. So they couldn't wait until Monday?

I know, I tried but the whole VBAC and a baby with a brain tumor is making him nervous - which I can understand. The Neurosurgeon said he has no problem with a VBAC (and actually hopes I have one so I can be with the baby) but the OB is the one who makes that call. If I'm still like this on Tuesday I'm going to call and talk to him, it can't hurt.

Good plan. I can understand the worry, but it seems to me that in the case of a baby with a brain tumor, you'd want the LEAST amount of drugs swimming in his system, right? Sometimes I just don't get peoples' priorities.

EXACTLY! And that point was brought home so much more when I read about MarchWillow and how it was good that her LO was born drug free and how it helps them determine what is wrong/what is a problem because of drugs. That is my biggest motivation for going through this drug free.

Honestly I think a lot has to do with malpractice, which is the main reason they don't do many VBAC's anyway. Throw in a baby with a brain tumor and well...from their point of view it's risky. Obviously if the Neuro thought there was even the slightest chance that it would be bad for the baby I wouldn't do it, but I really feel it's my best chance to give him clean entry into the world.

Ok, gottecat, I think you'll be joining Heather and I in June.

PuppyFluffer, if you come to June with us, I'll sit down and cry with you. Poor thing! I'm 39 and 2 and going nuts over here. I can't imagine being 42. Looks like you and Angela are in good company.
