Thats kinda where we are as well, although we live very near a huge beautiful monistary/temple, I think we have desided to start attending some classes/retreats there soon. The reason we chose Tenzin as a possablity is that it is the given name of the Dalai Lama. I saw him speak last year, and he will be returning here next july, we are going to take the little one! Seeing him is amazing!

I have a list that has to do with the ocean or water, since we know the bean was conceived on a ship. Since my husband really wants to find out the gender, I don't think I will get serious about it until we find out. A girl will almost for sure have Rose as the middle name, though, I think. (Grandmas name) And we are considering Griffin as well figuring it can follow a mythological theme. I really like the water name idea better, but my husband is not crazy about any of the boy names I found.

We had names before we were even a couple. My DH always wanted his firstborn named after the uncle who gave his mother a kidney... he wouldn't be here and there would be no baby if it weren't for Uncle Alan.

So: Boy name is Alan Scott (reverse of his father's)
Girl name is Alyn Marie (same middle name as DD, my mother and myself)

Yes, I'm thinking of names, but mostly in a "crap" sort of way. Took us over a day after our second was born to even settle on a name we both liked, but not loved like we did with our first. Turns out the two names we've already used are Russian (czars to be exact). So short of Ivan (the terrible!), we have to pick something slightly different. *sigh*

Greeba - missed your post. Do you have a lot of problems with people not being able to pronounce Seamus?

I'm a name freak so I had to have these picked out before we got pg!

A girl will be... Meridian Indhiraa but will go by "Indi"

A boy will be... Virote Weston, but were starting to think maybe Weston Virote??

I also have these names on reserve incase the baby doesn't look like what we have chosen:

Girl...
Indira/Indhiraa
River (even though it's my brother's name)
Tangerine
Symian "Simi"

Boy...
Thoren
Atlan
Harbor
Oleander
Royce

Really great name It is DS2's name. Definitely the best on the list.

We haven't really put any names on a list yet because DH and I can't agree.

For a girl I love Calliope and Tallulah. He doesn't like either name.
I can't even think of any boy names.

well when our youngest 18months was only 6 months old my husband walked in the door from work and annouced that our next boy was going to be named Levi Nicholas. It took me about a week to even like it but once i got used to it i couldnt stop thinking of Levi my little guy that someday i just know i will hold in my arms. I am convinced that this pregnancy is with Levi but if its not i dont know what we will name a girl. I have a huge list but my favorites dont go with a for sure middle name

.............Ann
Aubree
Audra
Amelie.....none of these go with Ann

Cecelia or celia go with Ann but i havent run that one by hubby yet

i'd like to find a saint name that i like but so far havent.

since we already have a boys name i will share my favorites

Emerson
Greyson
Jagger

Ok, I have to ask... what put that particular name in his head? Is there a story that goes with this, or did it just come to him that he has a son named Levi??

ETA - I would love for DH to get that into the naming process... I'll usually suggest a few names and he'll latch onto one of them and we go with it. It's good, in that I don't have to argue against anything I really dislike, but an occasional suggestion would be really cool!

Mosely! I believe this one is a boy and he shall be called Mosely!! Dh is not at all happy about it but I'm fighting for it. It's actually a last name but I don't care. I'll call him Mose (which is listed in some baby books) as in Mos Def Cracks me up. I told dh his middle name would be Mosely Wright or Mosely Harry.

I know. It could be cruel. I wouldn't do that. But I will call him Mose:

For some reason I have a hard time printing/writing names before they are born and it will probably change by the time the baby is born but .....
for a boy:
Wendel
Waylen (not sure about spelling)
Maverick
Jude (but dh says no way)

girl:
Madeline
Finuala

We have a Jack and an Eileen Dawn already.
