My skin is so bad right now. I have pimples all over my face and neck. Who get zits on their neck? My makeup is not even covering them up. Any other pimple faced mamas?
Chris
I've never had perfectly clear skin, but I definitely get much worse during pregnancy! Always have 3-4 or more it seems. Really irritates me. However, I find it's worse when I wear make-up. Most often, I don't and that seems to help.
Ironically, this was the ad on the mothering page while I typed this!

I haven't had too many problems this time around, but with my first pregnancy I felt like a teenager my entire first trimester. Fortunately, it DOES tend to go away - like many other crappy things - after 12-14 weeks.
I've always had a bit of mild acne, but with this pregnancy I have a weird, painful constellation on my lower back! I didn't know it was even possible to get zits there
: I hope it gets better over the next few weeks......
Oi do I ever have lots of tiny pimples on my forehead. I guess it doesn't help that winter's REALLY started here and that I wear a wool hat to work everyday. But, they've spread to my chin, the sides of my nose...my temples! And to make it more fun, I've got eczema on my chin and a continual powder of dandruff coming from my head.
Normally, I don't have pimples except around my period. I guess my hormones are going wacko.

I have been getting zits on my neck, especially along the back of my hairline. I affectionately refer to it as neckne!
No, I am really not very affectionate about it!!!
Those with back zits could call it backne...
Sunmamma, you reminded me of some other funny names I've heard of when referring to acne in strange places!
Let's see how many I can think of...
There's good ole', traditional acne, which can happen anywhere. But if you're lucky, you get special acne that only happens to special people in special places. This kind of acne can be called:
backne buttne thacne (thighs?) neckne (thanks to sunmamma) chacne (chest)

I have this too... It HURTS! Yuck! Also, my skin has not been the same, nor do I have a pregnancy "glow." I'd say I look rather crappy compared to normal - hope that ends soon!
I got acne AFTER I left high school. I was on Retin-A when I got pregnant with DS (quit immediately) and I was SO worried about my face breaking out. I still had the occasional cystic pimple even on the Retin-A. When I got pregnant, it cleared EVERYTHING up on my face... but my chest and middle/lower back (at the bottom of my ribcage, not in the center, just on the outsides) broke out. I used to break out on my chest and back in the summer, but that time it was my chest and outer ribcage... very odd. After DS was born, my acne really didn't return. Even after I got my period back (not til 13 months after DS was born, SO LUCKY), it stayed pretty clear. I used Proactiv, and that did help.
This time around (like a few of the other posters I read about), I have it along my jawline, and my hairline along my neck, plus my neck and outer ribcage. EVEN WEIRDER this time!!!
Yeah, I was just whining about this to Dh last night. He looks over at me, straight-faced and says, "Maybe it's Mother Nature's way of decorating you for the holidays!"
