I woke up about half an hour ago with a pain in my right side that feels pretty much just like a running cramp. I thought maybe it was from laying on that side, or just gas or baby's position (or my 3am carrot cake binge getting back at me) but it has quickly gotten worse. I've tried sitting in a chair, on the birthball, walking around, eating breakfast...it's not going away.

I'm not usually a worrier but I've never felt anything like this before while pregnant...if it were a pain down lower I wouldn't be concerned but it in such a weird place on my side. Also a little bothered because I haven't felt baby boy move this morning, but that's not too surprising considering he was up half the night doing kung fu.

Anyone else have pains like this...does it sound within the realm of normal or would you call your MW if you were me?

I agree that you should call your mw. Baby might have just given you a hard kick to an organ (I was getting sharp kidney pains a few days ago), but you should probably have it checked out.

I'm still debating over calling...

I just took a warm bath and it started to feel a lot better towards the end but when I got out it started back up again. Just sent DD next door to grandma's house and I'm going to rest for a while and see how I feel.

I also vote call your MW. Could be lots of things... gallbladder pops to mind, as well as what the pp mentioned.

Let us know how you're doing!

Well I called the MW an hour ago and she's going to come over any time now. Of course the pain went away almost immediatly after I got off the phone with her...go figure!
