It is the ONLY boy name we can agree on!!! The Philip part is after my dad.

Thoughts?

i like the name Gavin, but there was a kid in 4th grade named gavin who was mean to me, so i could never use it!! :-)

and DS has DH's middle name as his middle name and we also plan to use that middle name slot for a special family member's name

I love the name Gavin I used it with My DS and we will be using philips this time around. But if you put the names together be aware your are naming your kid Hawk Horse( Gavin= Hawk Philip=horse) as long as you are aware of that i say go for it.

I like Gavin a lot, it's on my list. No opinion on Philip really.

I like both of those but personally would spell Philip Phillipe.. Gavin is too "popular" for me though.

I think with a daughter named Ava, then a son named Gavin sounds just perfect for your family. Ava & Gavin. Cute!

I really like it- a close friend of mine's father was named Phillip (Feivel in Yiddish)-He was one of the most kind and gentle people I ever met. I occasionally wish we could use the Yidddish version for a boy.

I really like that! Gavin (well, actually Gavyn) was on my list if ds had been twins. I thought Tevin and Gavyn sounded cute together. And, my dh's middle name is Philip, after his grandfather.

I dont like using names in the top list either.. As a last minute decision I gave my first son the first name Jonothan just so people would stop saying I was giving him a bad name.. The rest of his name is JrehKaia Brandeis Imire
