I'm 16 weeks today and I still haven't felt anything I can tell for sure is baby movement. 16 weeks was when I first felt DD. I'm not worried but I'm thinking maybe the placenta is in the front? Or maybe i'm just a little more fluffy in the belly area this time, although I don't see how that would affect what you feel from the inside. Ideas?

I'm 16 weeks with #1 and I haven't felt any movement if it makes you feel better.

Every pregnancy is different--position of baby, placenta, etc.--and 16 weeks is still early!

I'll be 16 weeks on Friday and aside from feeling what I thought were flutters (probably just gas) and a few solid movements while driving, I feel nothing. I have an anterior placenta though so I'm blaming that. Though my second daughter, she moved very little until the third trimester so maybe I just have another in utero baby.

I am 15 weeks this week, and I have thought I have felt little flutters here and there, but I haven't felt anything definite.

I didn't feel my first baby til around 20 weeks and my second a few weeks before that. I have a pregnancy book that says 16 weeks is about the earliest you would feel a baby and that many don't until later so I think you're perfectly normal. At 16 weeks, baby is less than 5 inches long, less than 5 oz and cushioned by lots of fluid. I wouldn't worry.

I am 15 weeks today and aside from one flutter than probably really wasn't since it was so early, haven't felt anything I thought was movement. I was getting worried so did some on line searching and it looks like any time between 16 and 20 weeks is normal to start feeling something. Sounds like many of us are in the same boat. Maybe we need a "I finally felt movement" thread.

I think there's just a huge range of "normal" for feeling the first movements. Plus, as others said, it really depends on where your placenta is, how active the baby is & what kind of movements you're looking for.

I wouldn't start "worrying" until like 20+ weeks. Even then everything is probably fine. I'm feeling very, very occasional flutters here at 15 weeks, but it's my 5th baby. With other babies I felt the first movement anywhere from 14-21 weeks.

I hope you have an in utero baby!

I also felt my first DD @ 16 weeks and I think I had myself convinced I'd be feeling this one earlier. Plus I think a lot of people on here have felt movement way earlier than normal, so it's hard not to compare!

Tonight I have been feeling light pressures on the right side but I was busy at work....I need to go get in bed and be still!

My first didn't move until 23 1/2 weeks. Literally. I didn't feel a darn thing. My dh was only able to feel the baby move once the entire time I was pregnant, and he never (even on his most active days) moved more than 10 times in a day. Even in the crazy active 3rd trimester.

He's completely and totally fine.

You can't make them move when they are inside, so it's not worth worrying about, you know?

Oh, and no movement here yet either, but I'm only 15 weeks. We had an early ultrasound at 9 weeks, and the baby was pretty quiet and still.

I am just snooping, but thought I would post. I did not feel DD move until almost 23 weeks, she was my first, but still, 23 weeks is pretty late! She wasn't much of a mover in the womb the whole pregnancy.
