I've had this happen to me twice now. When standing for a longish period of time (we were doing a tour at an art gallery today) a portion of my left leg goes numb. It feels totally asleep and it's really disconcerting. What I did was found a place to sit whenever one was available and made it through. But does anyone know what this is? Should I worry?
Happens to me constantly. Had it in my last pregnancy too. The baby is sitting on a nerve. Doesn't hurt so much as it's just uncomfortable/annoying. My chiropractor gives me adjustments that help, but, sadly they don't last for too long.

Yep, it's just another one of those pregnancy related goodies. Nerves, swelling of tissues, change in blood volume, there are so many things that affect your body right now. I had carpal tunnel in both of my hands last time...I would be doing something, like crochet....with my hands...and they would fall asleep! So glad I don't have it this time, but it's nothing to worry about.
i have it too! and in my left leg! last pregnancy was my right leg.
unfortunately for me, it does not go away when i sit down, it happens when i sit ot stand. laying down is the only thing that helps. it's also started to extend up to a portion if my lower belly and (tmi!) occasionally my vulva. yeah, it's sweet.
