Ok, I know it's early but has anyone given this any thought yet? I love thinking about and discussing baby names so if anyone else shares my interest, feel free to post here!

A boy and girl name were chosen before conception!
We are re-thinking the first names a little, but the middle are set in stone.

I've had a girl's name picked out for a while now. If it's a boy, however, (and I'm planning on a boy seeing that dh has 3 already lol) I have no clue what we'll name him. It was hard enough figuring out a name for Henry!

I am horrible when it comes to naming children. I have had one go a month without a name.

We had names picked before we decided to TTC. However, we won't be telling them to anyone until after birth.

We have thought about making up names to tell.

: at least that's the plan. We had a hard enough time deciding between ourselves--we don't want any more cooks in the kitchen. If people get really pushy, maybe we'll give them a few of the more "out there" names from our list to mull over--that way, once they hear the real names, they'll be prepared for something "worse".

That's hilarious! I plan to do that to my mom. But I'm going to come up with such horrid noises-as-names she'll know I'm just being a pain in the rear.

We haven't discussed names yet since this pregnancy was such a surprise. But we do prefer unusual names and often get negative feedback from family/friends. I'll share what we come up with here though. My fave boy name right now is Rex but DH vetoe'd it yet again. So it won't be Rex and that's all I've got for now!

We have a few names we are tossing around. I guess it will depend on if there is 1 or 2...we should find out this week. A few I have thought of so far for girls are are: Nora, Eleanore, Addison. Boy names...I am kinda clueless...possibly Jason.

Who knows...our last baby was supposed to be Eleanore Grace, but when she was born by C-section instead of at home in the water I changed her name to Sarah Mackenzie....after 2 days of being nameless.

He wants a third but I'm not too sure abou that. LOL At this point, I'm not really sure about names. He doesn't even want to know the sex of the baby until delivery so we probably won't annouce it until then.

We've been playing around with names since we got the double lines, but we don't tell people either. Last time my husband who is a big sailor started telling people parts of a sailboat as potential names. I think my favorite was Rudder. Someone actually said, "What a great name!"

Happy SAHM Mom and CBE to three jumpers.gifboys:  DS1 (11/06), DS2 (7/08), DS3 (11/10) and D?4 (12/12)!

Our lists are ridulously long. We really don't want or see the need to find out the sexes but it might be worth it to save ourselves from coming up with 4 names for the twins (2 boys, 2 girls) and then ranking which 1 we like best for each sex. We were down to the wire with DD.

Not sure about a boy. I think we both like Santiago, but we'll see. If it a girl, which I think it is, I know that Melrose will be the middle name after my parents. Meliton is my dad's name and Rosalie was my mom's, so it's a combo of the two.

Cool names Miguelsmomma! It seems we have lots of folks here who are going to reveal the name after the birth. Hopefully some of you will satisfy my insane desire to discuss baby names though!

We find girl names to be incredibly difficult. For boys, we have discussed: Chapin, Hadden, Beck, and Sebastian so far. We tend toward family names. For girls, we are totally stumped!

This is a fun thread!

We now have a boy and girl name set in stone. We had pre-conception, but took a few days to re-evaluate and still love 'em. We also have the second boy and girl name narrowed down to like 3 options each - not bad!

Every name we've chosen has meaning. Meaning is a big deal to me, especially. Family names, names of well-known and well-spoken-of people, words that mean something as names ( ie the way people used to name girls Patience.)

I'd love to tell you what they are. But family could potentially find these threads - and that'd be horrid! I do not value their opinions regarding names, kwim?
