I'm just wondering what everyone else is taking, if anything...

I'm taking the Rainbow Light 6/day prenatals and also some fish oil capsules. And my rrl/pregnancy tea. Is there anything else that would be good to take? My diet is great some days and...not so great others...

High vitamin cod liver oil is pretty important to me. I take Blue Ice brand because it has natural vitamins A & D, not synthetic ones. Plus it has the Omega 3's I need too. I ordered Dr. Ron's multi vitamin to take instead of a prenatal which supposedly has all of the easily absorbed forms of vitamins our bodies need. When I emailed him to ask which products he recommended, he suggested CLO of course, his multi, organic organ delight and additional calcium and magnesium. I'm also doing the RRL tea as well. Right now thanks to m/s, I'm not able to swallow anything in pill form. Hopefully it will pass in a few weeks though so all of these supplements don't go to waste. Oh and my midwife wants me to take alfalfa as well for folic acid, protein and minerals.

I should be taking the fish oil, but I can't get past it right now. Maybe in a few weeks it will be doable. I am taking nettle leaf, marshmallow root and blessed thistle to help with milk production. I also take calcium and Emergen-C and homoepathics as needed.

I recently switched from the RL 6 a day to the 1 a day until I get through the m/s. As far as supplements:

Cod Liver Oil - Nordic Naturals (I spoke with them and they told me their Vits are natural, not synthetic. They are just not High vitamin, like Blue Ice, etc.)

About 4 grams of sodium ascorbate, more when I am sick.

I've started eating wheat germ in my yogurt, along with the muesli, to get a little more folate.

Later on I'll start taking alfalfa. I understand it helps to keep the bag of waters strong. I didn't have ROM until the end of pushing with DS. I don't know if it had to do with the alfalfa, but I'll be taking it again.

With DS, I did RRL near the end. Not sure if it helped and I probably won't do it again. I may change my mind.

I keep reading about chlorophyll, so I may do some research on that soon.

For now, that's all.

Once I'm actually able to take pills again I'll do my normal supplements (I've been doing for a few years now at least on days that I remember to take them!) of a prenatal, Omega-3, and probiotics.

Later I'll add in RRL in some form or another and Primrose oil.

I think supplements are dandy but I also don't think that they are completely necessary given a good diet.

Right now I'm only taking my kids gummy vitamins and some anti nausea mix.

Mom of a 7 yr old, 4 yr old, and 1 yr old. Wow. How did that happen?

My midwife encourages an alfalfa supplement (make sure you go organic)... it has tons of calcium, chlorophyll, carotene, and vitamin K. Good stuff.

I can never swallow prenatals and am not a pill person in general, unless I have to be, but I've been taking Emergen-C multivitamin for a few weeks now. It's really helped with my morning sickness and my energy level. I know it only has half (or less) of the daily recommendation on a lot of the vitamins, but it doesn't make me puke ! and I love not puking!

Would drinking it in tea form cover you, do you think? It's in my rrl blend...

What is ROM?
and what does chlorophyll have to do with pg?

I have been taking a 1 a day prenatal, I am also on Diclectin for m/s, I chew a papaya enzyme after meals and am trying some flax oil in stuff but can't find something to put it in where I won't taste it.
Anyone else have recommendations for constipation? I eat TONS of high fibre foods - any normal person would be in the bathroom all day, but I have IBS so being pg makes the constipation worse. Will the flax oil help? I don't want to resort to stool softners.

for those of you taking the emergen-C, is it easily taken (in liquid form, correct?) I'm having a hard time keep things down due to the nausea so I'm not taking anything right now. Last pregnancy I took my prenatal plus COL supplement.

Yes, emergen-c is easy on my stomach. I actually look forwards to my glass of it in the morning instead of dreading it when I was taking prenatal vitamin pills. I'm taking the emergen-c multivitamin, it comes in a little packet filled with powder and you add it to a glass of water, it gets a little fizzy and you drink it. Also, like I said above, I think it's helping me not have morning sickness. and that I love! Good luck, I found mine at the local grocery, but I think it's cheaper in the online stores.

I'm taking regualr prenatal vitamins and Ultimate Omega plus an iron supp. Emergen-C is really tasty! Sometimes I put a packet into the all fruit smoothies I make in the blender to give it a little tang.

Hubby got me a food precessor with a juice extractor for Christmas so I've been enjoying fresh orange and grapefruit juice.
