Just left the hospital this noon...

Stayed with a friend on Monday while dh was at work. We knew I could miscarry any moment. Sure enough, contractions started around noon and got worse and closer until what felt like h*ll between 4-5ish. I was naked waist down writhing in my friend's lap on the bathroom floor that whole time. Eventually, it was hard not to pass out, so she called an ambulance. While they were on the way, I pushed (what we think was) the baby out and the contractions basically just stopped as soon as I did. Superbaby's body is wrapped in a newborn t-shirt in her freezer at the moment.

At the ER, my resting pulse was in the 90s and I was totally traumatized. They put me on morphine and adavan whild dh covered my face and our friend sang me lullabies. It was insane.

My white blood count being very high led to a D and C on Tuesday evening. They let me take my dh's teddy bear. But it was really scary to just wake up with different clothes on and sore - kwim? (Dh was with me every hospital moment except the hour for the D and C.)

I wasn't strong enough to leave until this noon (thurs). I'm laying in bed as we "speak." I still have dry blood on my hand from catching some placenta Monday (thinking it might be baby). I just don't want to wash it off. I suspect I'll end up having dh do it.

I'm on antibiotics, tylenol 3, and adavan now. Dh doesn't go back to work for a week.

Our friends are trying to help with figuring out what to do with Superbaby's body and are bringing meals.

I moved my name to the angel list in our Who We Are thread. CRAP. I get email reminders when people post on that thread, so I'll keep it up for y'all. Seems like a good way to help cry it out, ya know?

I'm moving on to the loss forums - back to the loss forums might I add. Gag. I took my turn.

The weeks I got to spend here have been sweet. Thanks to all of you. Big fat healthy babies to you all. But may they get fat after y'all push 'em out.

Love ya.

Oh Holly, I can't even put into words what I feel right now. Sorry just doesn't seem to be enough. I'm just crying here with you I know the time you had with Super Baby was so short, but I can't help but think of them as your guardian angel now. I wish you so much love and prayers and healing. Let your faith help guide you through this time. If there's anything I can ever do, even just a shoulder to cry on or a big virtual hug, I'll be there.

If you need someone else to take over the updating of the thread because it is too much for you, please just ask/tell us. Please. You don't have to feel obligated to stay connected here if its too painful for you.

Ok, I posted a new thread with a link to the "birth story."

Getting the encouragement, sympathy, and hugs from y'all has been so wonderful. Thank you. I'll try printing out this thread to save with other Super-Baby things.

Astoria, thanks but I think maintaining that list would be a nice quiet way to stay connected and mourn.

Allright y'all, off to that new thread (or to happily gestating - I'd never blame you!)

I'll be in the loss forums, but watching you girls. Hug your bellies for me.

Oh, hey. Be sure you go ahead and tell your bumps you love 'em. It's like buying insurance - you probably won't need to have done that, but. It'd be SO much better than if you hadn't done it.
