Hello Mamas!

I'm almost to my second trimester, the last week I've had a really awful cold. Now it has turned into something worse. My throat hurts so bad and up into my ear.

so my question is...What do you think is safe to try for some relief? Other than a salt water gargle, extra fluids and rest...Any suggestions?

Thanks for your help!

when I was little, we lived in a very remote area and I was the ear infection queen. A doctor told my mom to warm up some oil and put a few drops in my ear. I am not sure what kind of oil it was though or whether or not a certain kind would make a difference.

Put a warm wet washcloth on your ear. It'll feel better. Drink only warm and room temp drinks...nothing cold. Tea with honey is great for a sore throat.

I have ear drops that are made with garlic oil and mullien oil, but I don't know if that is ok during pregnancy.
