i have been on a crazy roller coaster over the last month. on january 12 i had a miscarriage and went through all the grieving and processing that that took. i didn't go to the ob-gyn until this last week because i felt like my body had handled it very well and efficiently and there were no signs of infection (i had been in touch with my midwife). i went in last week just because i wanted to make sure all was well...and to make a long story short there is another baby! you cannot imagine my complete and utter shock. i had no idea that you could fully miscarry a vanishing twin and carry the other one. so suddenly i am 16 weeks pregnant and really feeling it. i am feeling all over the place happy and sad and really really really confused. all the physical signs were there i just couldn't interpret them correctly because i knew i had miscarried (we saw amniotic sac and placenta so there was no doubt). so i hope i am welcome back here. i feel really excited and also pretty scared. so here's to hoping that this is the biggest challenge for us in this pregnancy. i hope you all are well.
