Does anyone think this will effect their due date? I was thinking since I am due 8/25, maybe I will be a bit early? What do you think?

I'm not sure, #1 was due june 3rd 06, I didn't give birth til the 13th, which was right close to or on a full moon. My mom was convinced that I wouldn't give birth until around a full moon...

when I read your title i thought to myself "Oh, I'll probably give birth around then, then." lol I'm edd on the 14/15th

I've got three monkeys jumping on the bed!!

My due date is 8/8 and the closest full moon is mid-late July. I think I'll end up going into labor right after the full moon or on the day of. Which would put me at 37 weeks. I'm hoping he hangs in there until at least the end of July.

Oooo - that would be just one day shy of 38 weeks for me! I have never gone that far, so I would be totally okay with that date

Cool - 8/16 is my due date! I've been operating under the assumption that I'll go late, so it would be neat to be right on schedule.

My edd is the 14th, so the 16th would be a good time to go! My MIL's birthday is the 16th and she's making bets with people that the baby will be born on her birthday, so this is especially funny to me!

In 2005 it was the 19th and ds was born on the 14th. I'm not sure if it means anything for me.

Mom of a 7 yr old, 4 yr old, and 1 yr old. Wow. How did that happen?

You're baaack!

I hope the baby comes early so I won't have to worry about going "post dates" and people threatening me with induction. : Although, I have a feeling I'll probably go a few days late. Just a crazy feeling.

Why do you think you'll go that early? Just curious.

Cool...I don't think any of my others were born on a full moon. I wish there was a way to check on that to be sure, it never occured to me to note it. My dd is the 18th and it would be neat to lay under the stars and then go into labor, lol. If someone here can remember to post that around that time I will give it a try. Well actually it depends on what day of the week it is, I would prefer to have the baby on a Thurs or Fri so it is less time dh takes off work. Now, that has worked with all my last 3 amazingly enough!

Thanks,

Dh and I were both born a few days after the full moon, so I'm pretty much expecting Aka_chan right at 8/18.

my understanding of it is that statistically, more babies are born on the night of a full moon.

It wouldn't surprise me. My menstrual cycles (and most women's) have always been affected by the moon. The 28 day cycle usually lines up with the lunar cycle. Pretty cool, huh? I don't know the biology behind that, though. Maybe I should look it up!

#1 - water broke 4 days before, then he was born 3 days before.
#2 - born in between cycles (full moon on the 9th and he was born the 31st, the another one on the 7th of the next mth).
#3 - thinking she'll be early anyhow so maybe this will affect it!

interesting. ds was born 4 days before the full moon. i think he was a few days earlier than he would've been though because i didn't get the characteristic loose bowels until after i had him (i wasn't taking any stool softeners or anything either...)
my edd this time is 8-22. we'll see what happens.

My first was born the weekend of a HUGE snowstorm. The l & d department was so full that they were sending moms with babies to other wings of the hospital. My second was born the weekend of a full moon. Again, the hospital was completely full with moms in labor. I am due on the 28th, and I usually go a bit early. So, I guess I will just plan on being in labor on the 16th - lol!

My daughter was born on the new moon and my son was born 3 days before the full moon, so I just don't know with this one. I am due right around the new moon, but I'm hoping to be early with my third babe.
