Well I wanted to get this started 'just in case' I'll be MIA...

Today I have lost more mucous plug with some red thingy in it, I been having painful cntx, can't walk for too long either... Whatever this is, I am hoping to be able to fall sleep, I need the rest so bad. I also have a congestion and it is so annoying! How possible I am getting sick? I been taking my prenatals, vitamin c and probiotics. I also eat lots of fruit. I am hating getting the flu close to giving birth! :

Oh, I'm sorry about the congestion, Enith. Hopefully it's just pregnancy related congestion and DOES NOT mean you're getting the flu.

BTW, I notice you're often posting around the same time as me. But I'm in Arizona and it's 10ish, before I go to bed. You're in Florida, according to your location, so it's 3 hours later! Why are you always up so late

some signs for me. Loose stool, contractions (but only when the kids are sleeping!) just had a doozy in fact!

I'm doing some nipple stim to help it along. I talked with my mw and she agreed that this would be fine. I seem to have trouble continuing labor while my kids are awake so I'll see if I can get it going a little stronger. I'll stop by 1 or 2 if things aren't moving and get some sleep.

thank you cameo, I really hope so too It could also be an allergy, I have no other sign than my congestion...

I can't sleep most of the nights I been going to sleep every night at 3 am but I take naps. Today I didn't take any naps but I am about to go lay down, I am having some major cntx and I really don't want to be tired if something happens.

Hope you feel better and labor is going strong soon, Enith! And my contractions/cramps seem to pick up when dh takes ds out or at nighttime too, Megan. I'm up feeling crappy right now...pms-ish, nauseous, etc. No lost mucous plug for me though, although I don't think I lost it with ds until labor was actively underway. I'm obsessively cleaning every night just in case. Got to go to bed. Hope everyone gets some good rest! Mary

loose stools, crying fits, back pain, rectal pain...jealousy my neighbour was induced and has her baby already...wishing I had a conventional OB - yeah it was a rock bottome emmotional day

so I am feeling a bit better as my brutal day has gotten me like half way!

No plug for me either just a bit of lost mucous the other day.

I'm getting contractions every 3-4 minutes but they aren't lasting very long. They are intense enough that I need to close my eyes and breath though. 20 seconds or so.

Mom of a 7 yr old, 4 yr old, and 1 yr old. Wow. How did that happen?

Sorry, Shiloh. It can be so disappointing to see others around you having their babies first. Of course you will have a better experience than hers. Induction is no picnic!

I don't know what I'm having but I am so uncomfortable. I have cramps that are worse than menstrual cramps but they are constant so I wouldn't call them contractions. I also have a constant achy pulling sensation down there in addition to the cramps and when I walk I get stabbing pains in my cervix.

My belly always feels tight and sore and my back feels really tired. Not painful, just a tired achy feeling. I swear my pelvis is just... disintegrating. I'll let you guys know if I still have it in the morning.

I have been having some contractions. It's weird, though, they never feel the same. One contraction feels completely different than the next. They don't have a pattern or anything and they don't come all that often.

Also I am really hungry but I have no idea what I should eat. I know what I WANT to eat, but these are things I really should NOT eat. I gave into it a little while ago and had a muffin because I was just so sick of feeling hungry and unsatisfied.

I was uncomfortable going to sleep so I got up to go to the bathroom and randomly decided to clean it.

So that's me right now, tired but unable to sleep... hungry but unable to eat... in a lot of discomfort and pain but not anywhere close to labor.

I am SO DONE!!!

My contractions feel like menstrual cramps that get slowly worse then subside. I feel it down low just like a menstrual cramp and I get a tightening of my stomach too.

This is totally how I feel.

I went to the mall yesterday to hopefully find some cheap old navy snap/button front shirts for nursing in. Our mall has 'maternity parking' so I was all excited because, well, I never go to the mall, much less when I am actually pregnant. Of course, those spots were taken so I had to walk all the way across the parking lot. I was limping and hobbling before I even made it through the doors. It seriously felt like this baby was in my panties. Like I needed mc hammer pants.

To top it off old navy had nothing that even buttoned in front. Nothing. Bleh. So I went home and laid down and had a BH that lasted about, oh, 4 hours or so.

Nothing much today but overall crampiness.

That's encouraging but I feel like it still doesn't mean anything. At this point, I've had so many "signs" that mean nothing that I really don't believe I'll ever be in labor.

I know I have a bad attitude right now. I'm just so uncomfortable.

OMG I'm TOTALLY wearing hammer pants. The crotch on these babies goes all the way down to my knees!!

DH and I walked to the pool to see what the hours were. It was a 5 minute walk but I felt like I was going to just fall apart afterwards.

I can't believe you were brave enough to go to the mall!!! Hooray for you! I don't even have the stamina for the grocery store anymore. At least not by myself.

holothuroidea - Do we have a similar due date?

I think about women who work all the way to their delivery and i can't figure out how they do it. I am so uncomfortable and distracted all the time.

Okay, now my back is achy and I'm really getting crampy. This is too much. I must go to bed. But I probably won't. The house is nice and quiet. I enjoy being up after everyone else is asleep, and during the summer the kids sleep in later.

When they get stronger, last longer, and don't let up. Or as I've seen said before "when you are crowning" then you are in labor.

Mine are getting stronger and lasting longer now.

I envy all of you mamas. My clock is ticking. Monday next week is the c/s and I wish I'd go into labor soooo bad...I feel way too good though. Have no signs of anything. It's so frustrating.

Happy laboring to all of you.

That's definitely what I was feeling last night ... for about two hours or so. But I'm glad they went away. Still a bit early for me.

I'm not sure what to do now.

My contractions don't seem to be picking up any but aren't going away either. Its 4am and I've been trying to sleep on my couch since 3am. I wake up each time I get a contraction and then fall asleep again.

I don't feel like I've made any progress at all.

I don't want to wake up dh and ask him to set up the pool because it will be a pain to drain it (can't leave it filled) and put it back away again. But I'm also afraid if I don't ask him to fill it then it won't be ready in time.

I wish it weren't 4am because then I'd feel better calling my mw. I know I can call her but I don't want to wake her up unless I need her for the birth.

Mom of a 7 yr old, 4 yr old, and 1 yr old. Wow. How did that happen?

Megan, hang in there. I hope you can get some rest until at least the sun comes out.

I'm happy and proud to announce that I have irregular, painful Braxton HIcks Contractions...haha. I know they won't do anything but hey...it's the closest to labor that I'll ever be I guess

It's so exciting following you ladies. I look forward to checking in every day to see who's closer and who's holding their babies.

I showed dd (25 months) the homebirth twin video Enith put a link to. She LOVED it! She told me she wanted to pet the babies and put her finger up to the screen to touch them . After the video was done she said "watch more baby". Anyone know of more birth videos on the net? we've been looking for some but haven't found any home birth ones yet...

I can't wait to introduce her to our baby!!

and I just found a cavity way in the back on my wisdom tooth and need to now see a dentist after the birth. hurray....

I've got three monkeys jumping on the bed!!

Lots of action here, but not in my uterous We're getting a new BIG bathtub put in today (and he'll be working tomorrow and maybe the next, too). : I can't wait! I guess I won't be able to do laundry this morning with the water turned off - oh darn!

I'm getting my pedicure tomorrow morning. My feet are dying for some attention! But now dh tells me he may need to work early : I WILL NOT miss my pedicure!

I'm getting pretty tired of answering questions about everything now - when are you due?, how are you feeling?, do you have her name picked out? - in 4 weeks, but who knows!?!?!, crappy - have you seen my feet and hands????, no name and I really don't want to talk about it anymore!!

That's all here. I hope everyone who wants to have their babies today, will

Well last night had cntrx every six minutes, not super strong, but strong enough to notice. Went for a walk after dinner but they didn't pick up in intensity or get closer together. I stayed up watching tv and timing until about midnight and fell asleep. No more cntrx while I was sleeping, or maybe they just were not strong enough to wake me up. Had a pretty restless sleep and have been up since just before 6.

Sitting here having the same sort of cntrx, maybe something is working its way? Going to call my midwife when it gets a little later, see what she thinks?

I have an nst and ultrasound scheduled for three today, really hope I can cancel it.

yeah! I'm "due" on the 14th. Is there really 2 more weeks of having to live like this!?

I can't imagine working at all during pregnancy, let alone all the way up to delivery. Thank goodness for a super-old-fashioned DH who enjoys having me at home.

Thanks for the labor dust...I'm still having contractions and THEY HURT but I don't know if they are BH or real..I never went into labor myself and I don't want to cry wolf and call everybody. I guess I'll lay down whenever DS takes his nap and see if they go away. I have an appointment tomorrow but unfortunately we have a tropical storm/hurricane coming in so I will have to reschedule. I'm hoping that the change in air pressure will make my water pop, haha
