Have any of you experienced these before...

It's kind of a sharp pulling pain, right over the pubic bone area. It goes over the entire mons. Most noticeable when standing up after sitting, and walking right after sitting. Once I start walking it relaxes a little, and it's not as bad when I'm sitting down. I never had this with my son, nor have I had it before this afternoon with this one.

Just wondered if anyone else has felt this?

I think I have something like you describe sometimes too, also mostly when first standing up after being seated. I just imagine it's something stretching. It can be intensely painful, but goes away pretty quickly.

Sounds like pubic symphysis pain. The ligament that holds your pelvis together right in front stretches during pregnancy, and sometimes it can stretch just a tad too much.

Sometimes what can help is to lay down on your back with your feet flat, knees up. Have someone try to push your knees apart while you try to push them together, and then the opposite (you try to push them apart while they try to keep them together). Don't make it a struggle to "win" or anything, just gentle pressure.

You mean the feeling that someone is taking a chisel to your bones and then you walk like you had a way too fun night and have to have support to even move? That'd be pubic symphysis pain (or even SPD). Oh yes, I have it something awful and my hips stick and pinch the nerve to boot. Sitting to standing is bad but laying to standing is really difficult for me. It generally goes away after about 15-20 steps though.

I have some of this, although not as much as I did with my last pregnancy. I get it walking, moving from sitting to standing, and -- last night especially -- simply trying to roll over in bed.

Decluttering SAHM of three. Going for 2011 items in 2011.

Thanks Amy They plagued me all last night, including while I was sleeping. However, this morning they're mostly gone, but I'm going to keep this exercise in mind. Since I have no idea when this baby is joining us (today is our EDD - and nothing so far), I may have these pains again. Last night my DH suggested that I call the birthing center to talk to the midwife on duty, but I figured I'd check here first.
