Katherine - you're braver than I. Won't even go to the O department!

Starparticle - why is it that every time I see your "handle" I think it says starPICKLE??? I am so sorry you're dealing with this stress. Totally understandable! Big to you!

Mamabella - I have my first appt on Saturday! Can't hardly wait. Trying not to get too fixated on hearing a HB . . . awww, heck, who am I kidding!

I've had some light spotting when I wipe for the past week or so. Mild cramping off and on, but nothing crazy. So today I decide that I want an ultrasound. We don't have a midwife yet, so I went to urgent care. Even though I have a history of an ectopic, the dr didn't do an ultrasound. He had blood taken.

My HCG at 9 weeks is 10075. Pretty low, right? The nurse said it was in the 3-4 weeks range. I looked online and it could possibly be okay just very low. The nurse didn't understand why the dr didn't do an ultrasound when I was there. Ummm, me too buddy.

So, I'm headed to the ER tonight to demand an ultrasound. I only have one tube, and can't risk losing my last one. I am so confused and angry and sad. Seriously, if this is over then I am done with this pregnancy stuff. I just can't keep going through this. I have a 2.5 year old daughter, and that will have to be enough for us.

Dani, I am so sorry you're going through this. Please let us know what happens. It does sound like a very low HCG number, but at this point they should be doing ultrasound to check on baby's viability.

Well, the baby stopped growing at 6w 3d. 3 weeks ago. So, now I wait for my body to let it go. I feel like I don't ever want to get pregnant again. But I did enjoy being pregnant, so I am happy about that. We are so sad. Ugh.

So, here's the story. I'd been spotting light brown off and on for a week or so. I tell DH that I really want to go to Urgent Care and get an u/s to make sure all is alright. We get there, they do a pelvic and bloodwork/cultures. He doesn't think I need an ultrasound. Cervix is closed. I tell him I have had an ectopic and would like an u/s, he says maybe when I come back in 2 days.

I call back to get my HCG results...10075 for a 9 week pregnancy. Nurse says this is a # for maybe 4-5 weeks gestation. Great. The nurse is also wondering why there was no ultrasound down based on my history. He says if you are still crampy, you should go to the ER for an ultrasound. Off we go to ER at 9:30 at night.

Around 3 am, yes 3 am, I finally get an ultrasound. Tech is tight-lipped. Around 4 am, we hear back that the baby is measuring 6w 3d and there is no heart activity. And there is the start of a subchorionic hemorrage. So, he gives me a referral to an ob/gyn in town to follow up with in a few days. I am given the diagnosis of threatened miscarriage.

I am waiting to bleed, so that I can believe it's over. That way maybe I can stop researching this a million times online to hang on to hope.

dani76- my prayers are with you honey.

Update on my situation: I just got back from a wonderful week in California where I swear my belly grew just because of all the lovely pregnant mamas and talk about birth! (It was a prenatal yoga teacher training) Had a fantastic time, but lingering in the back of my mind was the conversation I had with my midwife last Friday while I was waiting for my airplane.
Apparently my first round of blood tests showed my Hcg at 118,000, in the 12-16 week range, but I was only 9 weeks. My progesterone was 17, so I upped my dosage. The results for the second round of tests, 3 days later, was a DECREASE in my Hcg number, now 100,000. But my progesterone went up into the 20s, (due to supplementation.) Even my midwife is puzzled. She called another midwife who said not to worry, the numbers were still in the "normal" range, because they were really high to start with. I haven't had any bleeding, and I still feel pregnant (nausea, feeling "big") I don't know what to make of this. I still haven't had an ultrasound and I really would prefer not to go there. I guess I can just assume everything's okay until proven otherwise. One possibity is I am further along than I think, but its really not much of a possibilty unless I was pregnant during my period in early December. Who knows? Has this (dropping Hcg #) happened to anyone else?

At some point in your pregnancy, your HCG starts to go back down. Especially if you are maybe further along than you thought. It looks like it peaks at 9-12 weeks, then starts to go down. From what I've heard, ultrasounds are better than bloodwork at this point. Hope all is well.

Thanks all. I started bleeding yesterday and passed some clots. Today, I woke up to some serious cramps/contractions and clots. Ouch! I am home alone with my 2 year old until tonight when DH gets home. But she is a trooper.

It's kind of interesting that there is a lunar eclipse tonight and I am miscarrying. Somehow it feels...okay. Not sure how to describe it.

The moon energy is powerful. Both of my miscarraiges happened on the full moon. I felt like it was the gravitational pull of the moon. Its almost like nature's way to complete a m/c without a d &c. I bet the lunar eclipse intensified things. Love and hugs to you sister. I am so sorry for your loss. Hang in there.

Dani, I'm so sorry for your loss. Glad you're finding a way to work through it. You're a strong woman!!!

So, I bled a bit yesterday. Well, sort of bled. I noticed some thicker CM and there was a "stripe" of bright red blood in it. Totally freaked me out. There was no more after that. So, hmmm . . . was it the moon's fault?!?!!!!

My MW said that it could have been a reaction to my yeast infection. I know that I'm yeast-y, but I don't feel itchy or anything. Still, the CM is discolored so I don't doubt that I have one. Hopefully that's all it was . . .

I am so stinkin' exhausted today. I'm having a really tough time - just want to go home and get in bed. Boo hoo!!!

There is more than one reason our firstborn is named Luna. She was born at 38.2 weeks on a perfectly full moon - it broke my waters and away she went! I was really thinking about her last night while we watched the eclipse.

I was in the shower this morning and saw some blood. Not a lot. Hard to tell what kind of blood it was since I was in the shower. I've been in bed ever since, so I haven't felt any trickles or anything.

Midwife says that it can be quite normal. I guess the hormones engorge the cervix and you can bleed. BMs can make your cervix bleed. Yeast can make you bleed. So, hopefully it's something minor like that.

But I'm not feeling very confident at all this morning. I've scheduled an ultrasound for this afternoon. Praying that everything is ok and that we see what we hope and pray we should have - a healthy 10 week old fetus.

Thanks Dani. Ultrasound revealed a non-viable 5w6d embryo. I'm expecting to miscarry over the weekend or need a D&C. This is miscarriage #3. I'm devastated.

Wishing everyone here the best. I won't be back, sorry.
