What would you knit?
Ha! I have no idea. I mean, knitting is so relaxing for other people, I thought it would be nice to do. But I never thought about actually making anything. What is your favorite cloth diaper?
We didn't start CDing DS until he was about 8 months or so. We used Fuzzi Bunz and Happy Heineys. I liked the HHs better. I'm going to try a couple different kinds this time but I have a feeling I'll probably like the HHs again- they are super easy. Are you enjoying maternity leave?
I kept DS home from preschool today and we had a great time. We met one of our LJ buddies at a children's museum and played. Very fun. Next week I'll be doing a lot of relaxing- alone. - How long have you lived in Philadelphia?
My whole life.
I was born and raised just outside the city, but my parents brought me into the city for lots of stuff- plays, museums, etc. In high school I did a lot of volunteer work in the city, too. And then I went "away" to college in the city. After college and grad school I stayed. DH and I bought our house here 5 years ago. I can't imagine living anywhere else. I'm definitely a city girl. - What surprised you the most about being a mom when Conor was born?
Actually, I'm surprised by a lot. I never imagined I'd be so devoted to 1 person. I also never in a million years would have thought that I'd be the AP/ NFL mama I am. I didn't even plan to nurse really. I thought I'd try it, but wasn't committed to it at all. No one I knew nursed- and neither of our mothers did. After he was born, I couldn't imagine feeding him another way. We nursed for 2.5 years and I can't wait to nurse this one. So funny how completely different I feel about it.- What are you most looking forward to doing BEFORE this baby is born?
I am really looking forward to relaxing on maternity leave. I work hard and a lot and my job is stressful, so having time to myself is going to be really nice.
