Anyone getting them done? I want to, but the photographer I had lined up for them has kinda bailed on me so now I'm trying to find another. I've never had them before and this might be my last pregnancy, so I'd really like some great photos to commemorate it, ya know?

If you've already had yours done, do you have any examples you want to share? I've spent all day looking at various local photographers' maternity samples and I'm just loving it .

Charlotte, midwife to some awesome women, wife to Jason, and no longer a mama to all boys S reading.gif('01), A nut.gif ('03) S lol.gif ('08) and L love.gif ('10).

I don't have it online, but I had a great number of shots done where I had several yards of black lace draped around me and the lighting was really soft. I was basically naked underneath, but it was all strategically placed. Part of the lace was draped on a rod above me so it was easier to drape around. One of my favorite shots, you can't even see my face really, just my big ol' belly covered in a lacy sillhouette.

I'm a proud mama of two girls! 4/30/06 Madeline, 09/25/08 Amelia

I had the same thoughts, and found a photographer that was just starting out and needed some practice. I was a nervous how they would turn out, but I just got a few of the proofs yesterday - they turned out amazing!

You can see a few of them on my blog: www.scattereditinerant.blogspot.com

We are a family of Jesus loving urban-nesters living the granola life in a not-so-crunchy city.  Our kids (DS 8, DS 7, DD 4) are home birthed and educated, and we just found out that a new Little will be added to our roost mid-April '14!

I have some planned, as well, but no time pinned down for them. A lady I know does them, and I can't decide if that makes me more or less comfortable--someone I know seeing me in such a state, or someone I don't know . . . .

My sister had some beautiful ones done when she was pregnant with her second. They were gorgeous. Wish I had some links. Again, she was draped strategically placed fabrics.

I asked my partner to take his digital camera and snap a few pics in the backyard and was wow-ed by what he got! A backyard, a crappy digital camera, and an amateur photographer are really all you need

(2 of the many nice ones)

Vegan mama to DD (9/08), DS (9/11), and many rescued furbabies.

I had my friend do them for us. She not a professional photographer (well that's what she always says anyway). She does have a degree in art from OTIS and has taken a ton of photography classes though which is more than most people I know. Her preferred mediums seem to be painting and sculpting.

Anyway, these are the best of the shots she took:

I had some taken 2 weeks ago when I was on vacation in San Diego. One of my fellow ddc'ers from my dd2 came into town to take the pics for me. She is an awsome photographer and it was so cool to have my pics taken by her.

With Dd2 I had pictures taken locally by www.bbtphoto.com . I am in the bellies section twice (one of my hennaed belly) and then there is a series of me and dd1 against the same blue wall as the henna pic.
