Ahh birth announcements and thank you cards. They are on my list as well. As is taking some pictures and writing in DS's baby book. He's definitely suffering from second child syndrome. I've not updated his book since he was born --oops.

I will have my 4 1/2 year old and newborn at home alone tomorrow while DH works. Normally my daughter is at pre-K school. Wish me luck!

Someone (Emily Post? Miss Manners?) said that you have a year to write thank you notes for wedding gifts. I hope the same is true of baby gifts. Or maybe you get even longer with baby stuff.

Instead of sending Thank you cards I took a wonderful picture of Des and made birth annoucment cards and sent them to everyone who gave us a gift. Everyone keeps telling me how beautiful the picture is
