Hello Ladies,

I was up late ripping seams on diapers to replace the elastic. Now I won't have to jump in here on page 2 and try to catch up.

This week brings us through the end of August. September is right around the corner. Soon we will be enjoying cooler weather (well, hopefully some of us will be) as our belly's get bigger. Next thing you know, instead of posting belly pics, we'll be posting baby pics.

i will never keep up w/ this thread. i know its impossible for me. but ive never been this early! lol!

this is week 35 for us. im done w/ not being able to breathe. this weekend we had a blast at a huge family reunion (gotta love crunchy families), but on Friday i felt very faint so our plans to take things up north were derailed (i didnt feel like driving myself, as originally planned).

there are big things that need to be done this week (painting 2 rooms)...we shall see how it goes.

oh and cooler weather...yeh! it is finally starting to feel like fall and i am so happy. the leaves were actually turning up north this weekend. wow!!!

I love fall... I just hate the storms we have. There were two tornados in the next county yesterday. Scary stuff!

This is my 34th week. Baby's position feels very different ever since the odd popping noise thing. I'm not sure if he's gone from ROA to LOA or breech. I was thinking about skipping the chiro this week but decided I'd better not. I went and got a pedicure on Saturday. I have to say, NOTHING makes me feel better than that. I go every 3 weeks and realized the other day that means only two more till baby comes. The last one I've scheduled for the day my mom gets here so she'll be getting a treat too.

YAY For only 8 weeks left! (Due Oct 24) Yippie skippy for maybe even less! I see my doc tomorrow. I just can't wait for it to all be over and to finally have my little space pirate to love. Life is great, and the shower and #1 son's birthday are both over YAY! And my house is getting closer and closer to being ready for baby. OK so all I really need is a crib matress. So far so good on the week. It's good times, and I'm on the countdown to my due date. Back to the nice quiet pace of my life. And Knitting nursing pads. And I need to et elastic for diapers. Oh well, so much for the quiet pace.

Yay for fall! We slept with the windows open a couple nights last week! It was so nice. If only it stayed that cool during the day!

Everything's pretty good with me. I just have a little vent. Last night at our potluck dinner, I got up to let someone pass around me at the table and somehow she caught my chair on her pants and dragged it way back just as I was sitting back down. I slammed down HARD on my butt.

I know it's illogical, but I am having a hard time not being mad at her. I kept it together while I was there but as soon as we got home, I started crying and couldn't stop. My back hurt immediately. But mostly, I was afraid that it would make my water break. I have been thinking about having a preemie baby lately and have been really scared of it, so I guess I was having anxiety.

I am pretty sure all is fine with the baby, but this morning my mid and low back are pretty uncomfortable I am feeling really lazy and down. Luckily I have a chiro appt in the morning.

The positive is that I am 33 weeks now, so less than 4 weeks till I am ok for my homebirth.

Jess. I hope your back is better...and I agree, try some arnica oil.

AAM: Today is the first day of school so my older boys are gone. My ds2 is 7 today!: This time 7 years ago I was just getting ready to call over our mw (sniff). Anyway, I'll be making cupcakes today and doing some tie-dye with my 2 littles and our homeschool group.

33 weeks yesterday and starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel!

Happy gestating this week, mamas!:

I don't often get in on these early either, I'll never keep up either. I've been having a really emotional week, on the verge of tears is no fun, I don't want to leave the house because who knows what'll set me off! With the great news of dh's orders getting delayed so he gets to be here for the birth came news of more school.. so he'll be gone for 5-8mos, won't know until he's done with the first school which other one he gets (options are the long, longer, and longer yet.. ). I've decided (which is quite stressful in itself!) to move in with my mom while he's gone, I'm an hour from everyone where I am, I had ppd with Colin (dh was gone then, too) and think where I'll be sad to not be in our home and have all of our stuff, it'll be best to not be alone. It'd help my mom out financially, she needs surgery but can't afford the time off work, so I could pay the bills the month she's out and she wouldn't have to worry. And I could be sure she's eating well (which she's not now, because it's no fun cooking for just one ). We'll also be saving about $1000 a month on rent (my rent is more then her mortgage!). It's going to be a tough time, dh has to leave on ds' 2nd birthday. We have to move half our stuff into storage, then the rest into my mom's house. And my MIL is coming that week, too. I'm annoyed because I don't want to waste dh's last week here on moving, and I don't want to share him with MIL either.

Anyway, that's quite long enough I think! I can't believe how close we all are to the end!

Jess, I'm sorry that you fell. I understand having trouble not being mad. I hope that you feel better soon! I fell a couple of months ago, because of my own stupidity, though, and was so sore for a couple of weeks

Oh autumn is my favorite season too I am soooo done with the heat of the summer, although it has cooled off the past couple of weeks, so I really shouldn't be complaining at all

Well, I am 34 weeks tomorrow which puts me at 33w6d today... I made it past where I did when I gave birth to DS : I know it isn't much but it just makes me feel so wonderful! Now I just need to make it 6w1d and I will give birth on my "dream day" I am trying to visualize everything exactly how I want it to happen.

I hope everybody has a wonderful week!

Wife & Mama to Two Loving Kids DS1 (7/7/07) DS2 (925/08) and DS3 (6/28/12)! And our new furbaby puppy Koda!

Jess, I sure hope your back pain can be helped significantly at your chiro appt today! I'm sure that scared you because it caught you so off guard. s

Megan, moving in with your Mom sounds like a pretty good idea. I think if DH were gone for a long time like that I'd move in with mine too since this is baby #1 and no way I'd want to be alone. I like company not to mention I'm sure I'd need some help! Hopefully the time he's gone is the shorter of the options and it goes by quickly.

Maryann, : Hooray! That's so exciting! I really have a feeling you'll go full term this time.

AAM: 32wks and feeling pretty good! The crib is supposed to be delivered tomorrow and I cannot wait! I'm also getting really excited about my maternity portrait session coming up at 37wks. I was looking at some examples online last night to get an idea for th feel I want and to help with outfit selection. It made me want to do them NOW! But, I need to be a little bigger so my belly will really pop out when I'm laying down.

This is my last week for 2 of my classes and I'm looking forward to the end because they are the most demanding and wear me out for the rest of the day and I think it's partly because I get a little dehydrated. Anyway, I'll be left with only 2 classes a week starting next week and I'm only continuing that for another 2wks and then I'll just be working out on my own for my own good. YAY! I'm thinking I'll give up my training clients at 37wks and that should give me plenty of time to finish up whatever needs done in the house and ease my mind about going into labor somewhere other than home.

Have a great Monday ladies!

Ouch, Jess! I'm sorry you had such an awful fall--I'm sure a trip to the chiropractor will make you feel much better

Nothing too new here--I am 31w 1d today, and I'm getting a little anxious about bringing this baby home! I have the urge to nest, but no energy to follow through. Therefore, the house is a mess, but I can't bring myself to clean it. And I know that if I clean it thoroughly now, I'll still have to clean it again before Ella arrives. *sigh* Also, her room isn't even close to being finished. I'm not too concerned about that since she won't even be using it for a long time, but it sure would be nice to have it in order!

I am also trying to start working out again. I gave up a long, long time ago when I was so exhausted/sick during my first and part of the second trimester, but I'm now realizing how out of shape I've become. I got on my elliptical yesterday and barely made 15 minutes before needing to stop! My goal is to keep using it and doing yoga every day (my flexibility has also suffered) and slowly increasing the time/intensity.

I think that's all for now...I hope everyone has a great week!

Jumping in here now because I know I won't be able to keep up. I'm 32 weeks yesterday. I have a prenatal tomorrow but at my last one everything was good. Kids go back to school in another week and then I'll be home alone. I've had an emotional week last week. I get a little down, and just feel blah. I'm still looking for work but there is NOTHING out here right now. I have enough money to get by another month but then that's it. I'm just stressed about October now and not only because of baby but because of finances..ugh. I find myself crying every other day or so..it sucks. Besides that everything else if ok. My parents are coming out in a few weeks to bring my 17 yr old home. She went on a traveling adventure with friends this summer and now she's finally coming back (from Colorado to WY to ID to N. CA to S. CA where my parents live). It will be nice to see my parents and I have missed my oldest. I guess that's it for now.

I could do more if my pubic symphysis wasn't.. whatever it is. Crazy, out of whack? The APRN I had to see a couple of appointments ago asked if I was walking. I laughed. Yeah, to the fridge, to the bathroom (this 50 times a day, plus up and down the stairs 4-6 times a night has got to count for something, right?), and back to the couch I'd be feeling awesome physically if it weren't for my pesky pelvic problems! Baby is low, so no breathing problems, but not so low that she's making me miserable (yet anyway) like ds did (and go figure I had none of these pelvic issues with him?). Then there's the annoying bh's brought on whenever I walk for longer then 5 minutes.

That said.. I really should be excercising. Oh well.

And Maryann, congrats on making it past what you did with your first! Here's to a full-term baby!

Ok, you have inspired me. I am wearing work out clothes and I intend to get on the treadmill at some point in the near future. Too bad I can't see the TV from there. Wish me luck, I'm hoping to get back into working out without causing too many contractions.

Jess- how was the chiro? Any relief?

Maryann- congratulations on reaching this point in your pregnancy!

Tara- I know what you mean about the pictures, but I'm glad I've not had them taken yet, since I have no clue what I want to wear.

Amanda- you mentioned 15 minutes on the eliptical, my MW said at this point 15 minutes is a good goal. Whew! It's nice to have a recommendation that meets my endurance too.

AAM: 32 weeks today. Tomorrow is my first of the every 2 week appointments. This is my second week with DD at Kindergarten-- so much fun! I have been relishing the time alone, and even "played hooky" from my lists the other day and watched 4 episodes of Grey's Anatomy (we're behind and in the season from 2 years ago, so I'm trying to get up to date to be able to watch this fall.) I read a whole book another day, but am still keeping up with my cooking, freezing, and most of the cleaning.

As for the Organized Nesting I was planning to do (have it mapped out with dates I plan to do each task) it is getting pushed off to Wednesday at the earliest. It's kind of pointless to wash windows at our house, however, as we have a lot of earth work going on now, and the dirt will be flying again tomorrow.

DD starts soccer this week, so I get to look forward to evenings reading in the heat, and this week is slated to be HOT! ICK.

Mommysaurus: can't you apply for pregnancy disability to help out? I know I can and get 4 weeks before baby and 6 after.

Ashley: Happy birthday to your DS!

Jess: so sorry about your fall. That would have upset me too. I have been feeling really fragile lately and clumsy so I don't need much help from others to fall. : Hope you feel better!

Tara: I can't wait to see your portraits!

Janasmama: I replied to you some more at the tail of the last weekly chat thread. Not sure if you saw or not. When you say you were working on diapers, do you make your own or was this just a repair?

Megan: I agree with Tara...if your DH is going to be gone for so long, you need the family support so that sounds good.

I can't wait until my midwife appt. tomorrow b/c I too like Changed feel maybe the baby has moved. I am curious to see what they say.
I had a great phone conversation with my (I hope) doula. We will be meeting in another week and a half (due to us leaving to go out of town tomorrow for nearly a week). My 1st doula turns out is going to a wedding in NY the very week I am due so I am hoping this will work out.
I downloaded my labor music from Amazon last night and will make a thread about music later today so that we can share our choices.
My Hypno teacher turned me on to some really cheap and good MP3 downloads on there.

Happily married with two tots (babyboy.gif J 10/18/08) & (babygirl.gif T 5/03/10)

jess sorry to hear about the fall...ouch...hope you feel better soon.

Maryann that must be such a feeling of relief to make it past when you delivered your first!!!

AAM: 32 weeks today, so 5 more weeks till I can have a homebirth!! Not that i'm sure this baby will be out for at least the full 8 weeks if not more.

I seem to have both my sugars and my blood pressure under control now so yeah for that!!!! I am waiting on my hemoglobin so crossing my fingers that my numbers are high enough for a home birth....otherwise I have to work twice as hard to bring them up.

I am finding myself with little tolerance for my kids these days so i'm working hard to try and be a better mom. It's hard when i'm so tired and anxious about baby. Maybe knowing my sugars and BP are good will help lession my anxiety and I can be a better mom. It is hard when dealing with a very very spirited and strong willed 4 year old and his brother who wants to be just like him. Ewan will start nursery school in two weeks though so hopefully that morning away will help us all.

Yesterday we took the boys to a nature preserve here in town so that was great....we got to go into a bison enclosure and they loved that...my goodness those things are HUGE, or like Ewan said mom it's like half a dinosaur, but which half...lol, he does have his good moments.

This Thursday hits 35 weeks according to my OB. I figure that once 36 hits, I'm out of automatich NICU range. That is a HUGE relief.

I'm dropping though. I feel this intense cervical pressure as though baby is trying to push out. And sometimes I even feel like pushing a little myself. It's weird. Anyone else with this?

About the pubic symphisis stuff... try a chiropractor! What a difference mine make!!!

Don't mind criticism. If it is untrue, disregard it; if unfair, keep from irritation; if it is ignorant, smile; if it is justified it is not criticism, learn from it.

34 weeks 5 days here..

Just got back from a road trip, 9 hours in the car there, 4 days there and then 11 hours (DH wanted to make lots of stops) back. The good part? We missed a big heat wave at home and it was cooler where we went. The bad part? I live in a house that is all one floor, and the friends we stayed with have the guest area in the basement, and the nearest bathroom is 2 flights of stairs up. Not much fun in the middle of the night!

My doctor is still 'unavailable indefinitely' due to a family emergency (her son was in a terrible car accident) so I haven't seen her since the beginning of July, saw another doctor in her practice at the beginning of August but really didn't like her, so just made an appointment with a 3rd doctor because I can't put it off any longer, hopefully this one will be better.

Right hip hurts most of the time, have trouble lifting that leg so I have to lead with my left and that just feels weird! Baby is still riding low as always so I don't have trouble breathing, just with endurance. Feels like I've been pregnant forever, but I'm not quite ready for baby to be born yet.

Today is my DD's 2nd birthday. It's been along day though, she is kind of overstimulated and whiney. Due to curcumstances, she never napped today.

34 1/2 weeks, first sneeze induced pee leak. Sigh. Alas...

My pictures were today, I hope they turned out okay. The aformentioned whiney 2 year old was not cooperating, and my Dh was not listening when I was making suggestions as to how he might help her be more comfortable. We did our pictures outside, and I was all naked for a bit then I was more or less naked for the rest, hopefully my neighbors aren't too scandalized. My friend/photog said she really liked some of the shots. So at the very least we did some good portfolio building.

Happy monday everyone!

I'm 32 weeks today!!! My belly has REALLY popped, and I feel like I'm leaning backwards, but I'm doing fine.

We went to the fair on Friday and had agreat time. DH has a job interview comeing up this week, so hopefully, he'll have a job soon. I have another MW appointment this week, and I'm trying to take it easy, too.

After two weeks of practically running nonstop, I started to have some pretty strong braxton hicks last night, which kind of worried me. I don;t remember them beiong so strong with DS. But I drank more water, and tried to rest frequently today, and only one or two BHX that I noticed.

I learned to make and can tomato soup today!!!! How fun! It's nice to be able to spend some time with my mom. I've been missing her most of this PG, maybe because things had been so unsettled. . . She's comeing with me to my Mw visit on Friday, and it will be nice to have some company- not to mention someone to watch DS!!

Everybody take it easy this week!
