Hi!

Anybody can recommend some Chinese books/DVDs for my toddler? He is 2 years and 4 months old. I'm Italian and my DH is a Chinese born naturalized American. DH doesn't spend a lot of time at home and he is the only source of Chinese for him.
It could be a good opportunity also for me to learn some Mandarin.

So far we have been watching a lot of Muzzy and also the Monkey King cartoons, although my DH thinks the Monkey King is too complicated for DS.

Any suggestions on appropriate learning material for his age?
I can buy online also from Asia if they ship to Europe, or to the US and then ask my PIL to bring it over for Christmas.
Any website in Chinese with games for kids?

Thanks for any title or suggestion.

Francesca

For a website, try here:
http://www.chinesetapes.com/children_video/index.html

Lots of Barney & Sesame Street & Teletubbies have been done in Chinese or dubbed into Chinese

Here's a site that has children's books

Do you like the Muzzy tapes? I was considering them, but they are pricey.

I don't know if you get cable/satellite, but there is a show on Nick Jr. called Ni Hao, Kai Lan that's the Mandarin equivalent of of Dora the Explorer. DS likes the show a lot and has learned a few random words from that show. You can probably find DVDs at the library too.
