We've spent the last few days at the Life is Good Unschooling conference in Vancouver WA. It has been a blast for our eight year old and very enjoyable and thought-provoking for us. I suspect we will be back next year. I'm wondering what other unschooling gatherings people here have been to and enjoyed. Any suggestions?
We didn't really get to enjoy Life is good when we went last year, but then we have some special needs that I didn't really plan for ways to cope with. And were moving 900+ miles in a couple months so things were already starting to get a bit unravelled for us.
It's Memorial Day weekend. So next May is the next one. There is an unschooler gathering in Ohio (?) in the winter, and there is a radical unschooling convention in San Diego, which is (I think) in the summer.

My dad is in Vancouver WA so we will go to Life is Good some year soon. I'm glad to hear you had fun. What did you like best? My kids are four and two so I don't feel like I need to hurry too much.
We're going to the Unschoolers Waterpark Gathering in Ohio in early Feb, will be our first time going to a conference and we're all very excited!
