She did dontate it recently, but she lives in Seattle. A long couch that is comfy for naps is a blessing.

The set... yeah, everyone asks about the set, but get ready for the painful part: I got it five years ago on ebay for $30! And that picture shows little more than half of it. I check for it from time to time, but I've never seen any deal like that since. Oh yeah, and it came with it's own wooden box that fits perfectly under things (chairs, tables, etc.) - go ahead, hate me, everyone who sees it does.
Thanks!
Bummer about the set. My kids love to set up animals in all sorts of arrangements, and that set look sssooooo inspiring!

Well, they're essentially a cheap and slightly smaller rip-off version of Ostheimer, Holtziger, or (oh what's the name of those other great german wooden toys?) figures. I'm always looking to add to our collection, so I keep a look out for things like this, or these on etsy (Etsy is great, guilt free shopping, but dangerous because my self regulating operates mostly out of guilt. )

wow... thankyou!
I'm pretty obsessed with it myself. I was just talking with DP about it tonight; he was saying that he cant understand why it doesn't have a million view already not that he's biased or anything

I think your easter eggs turned out soooo lovely! We used Paas and it worked really well which is usually really hard with eggs that are green and brown to begin with. Maybe when the boys are older, I'll get them to make dyes themselves.

Haha when i saw those pics, i thought boy that boy looks just like Anna's boy. I am torn between wanting to do a blog for the kids, and not wanting to post pictures of them until they are older to consent to it. Am I being silly? I put one up on my other blog today from a year ago of my youngest to try out how I still feel about it lol. Maybe i will talk to them about it soon, I love all your blogs!

It's what you're comfortable with. I don't think you're being silly. For the longest time, I didn't care about what was online because I'm not really nervous about the risk. Recently though I took out our last names, which were posted in a few places. The pictures being up doesn't bother me at all, but if you want to let them decide, then do.

I used to be really unworried about posting stuff, I had heaps of pics (I still have over 2000 photos on flickr), and wasn't worried about our names being online and stuff.
but lately I started looking at the activity on my flickr account, and I found that the pics with the most views were of DD naked. (and hey, we're nature folk so there are plenty of nudie pics). then I looked closer and saw that all the people who bookmarked or commented on the pics also joined porn groups, and favourited lots and lots of pics of naked children, often in compromising postures, and also explicit sex pics.
so yeah, even though I have no shred of thought that any of this would ever come back to myself or my child in the IRL physical reality, I just got a really really bad feeling about the thought of folks into kiddie porn oogling shots of my bare-butt toddler.
so yeah, all those pics got set to private pretty quick smart, and I block anyone from my flickr pages if they look suss at all.
