Love it and I'm saving it to show people who have boys (or who give me crap about not circ-ing mine if I have a boy in the future)!

AND linked to it on my Facebook!

Hmm, just looked around a little. I have some reservations about the religious section (since it is CAC, we cannot discuss those particulars).
Was kinda shocked to see there were a few 'yes, you should consider circumcising.'

Good for the standard American 'cultural' assumptions.

I question their statistic on circumcised infants in the US, putting the rate at 90%. Surely this is no longer accurate?

I think it means that 90% of the 2% of worldwide babies that are circumcised are in the USA. But since it is a little confusing, maybe suggest to them an edit.
I think it would make sense to state in this section that the rates are almost 50/50 in the US now, and circumcision is declining.

Here's the section:

Yeah...I think they mean 90% of the 2% worldwide..it is confusing and should be edited.

Thank you for that. I am really against circumcision. I would never mutilate my son. Nature made him that way. That way he'll stay!

Well the site creator is really open to suggestions, so just send them along.

I like the "Yes you should consider it" for the adult circumcision (i.e. I'm curious what it's like says consider it, as it IS a body mod that some people do like) and the R word ones. The reason I say this is because the site is actually much closer to non-biased that way.

I do agree that religiously a person SHOULD consider it and come to their own decision whichever one it may be. For the site to say otherwise would take away the objectively that does exist.

wow, it strikes me that they are so concerned with 1 child a year dying from a chicken pox, so they go out of their way to push the totally unnecessary vaccine on everyone, yet 100 boys die every year as a result of circ and no one lifts an eyebrow. and they say women are the ones with lack of logic…grrrr

Thanks for sharing.

I believe the chicken pox part was not on this site but part of the vaccination campaign. Yulia R was probably trying to point out that way more children (boys in this case) die each year as a result of circumcision than of contracting the chickenpox.

i think i'm even more confused now , if that were even possible . was the vax campaign put together by or somehow related to those who put up this site?

thanks for helping me get this all straight!

Sorry - I was refering to the chickenpox vaccination ad with the "tearful rubber ducky" for "Sadly, in the U. S. one child dies each year as the result of chicken pox." (not quoted literally but from memory) This was the ad of the vaccine manufacturer Merck.

alright I showed this to my friend, and I think she has decided against circ'ing! but she has one question.. it says under foreskin care that soaps and bubble baths can irritate the skin. She wants to know if she wont be able to use soap or bubble bath with her baby if he's circ'ed. She wants to know if that applys to when they are adults too that he will never be able to be around soapy water, and also it didnt state if bubble baths are going to be irritating to boys even if they are circ'ed. Im no expert so I thought I would ask you all, thank you!

Any soap/bubble bath has the potential to irritate sensitive skin of the genitals in both intact and circed and also in females. Many little girls get irritations due to sitting in bubble baths, but not all kids. It's just advisable to stay away from anything too chemically or from putting soap on the penis until the child is old enough to say "ouch, that stings my skin", etc. Obviously, her son, as either a grown intact man or as a grown circed man, will know if he has a soap sensitivity or not. Both my circed dh and my intact ds use soap on their genitals but they are also both old enough to do their own baths and rinse off properly. I also use soap (a mild one). That said, I know some women who only use water in the bath because any kind of soap hurts them. I don't think the soap issue should be the deciding factor of if your friend circs or not. Either way, I think she should avoid all harsh soaps on her newborn/toddler.
Hope that helps!

I think it really depends on the person. DS and I both love tons of bubbles in the bath and neither of us has had a problem.
