Ditto to the ladies who said they wish their husband's hadn't been done.

And to Fyrestorm, I hear you. I've said the exact same thing.

My husband didn't get a say about his circumcision. I didn't get a say about his circumcision. Just his mother and father did, and they chose differently that we would have. I've encouraged him to restore, but he's not interested for now.

My son DID get a choice. If he and his future wife have any problem with it, they're more than welcome to do something about it because I left the choice up to him.

Arg! This argument makes me so frustrated and sad at the same time!

Someone tried to use that excuse with me too. Sorry, but I don't buy it. Most women are not even going to care one way or another. A few will refuse to be with an intact man (or be with them and not prefer it) and a few will prefer an intact man. Very few women even CARE. The many women on this thread that do care are still in the minority.

Now me? I think circ'ed penises look...well circ'ed. They don't look natural. I would probably prefer an intact one, but as it is, I'm with a circ'ed man. And I love him and would never decide to NOT be with him because of his status. How shallow would that be?

I do know sometimes women have actual sexual problems because of their husband's circ. I do think it can be a real problem. I've experienced issues to some degree of my own. Now we just always make sure we have astroglide handy. It works, but I hate that it's necessary.

"If any future babies are girls, I plan to get them breast implants for their future husbands."

Sounds utterly ridiculous, doesn't it. So, why would I alter my son for a theoretical future person, who may prefer him altered.

Of course I emphasize "may" since it is hardly a definite. Really though, it isn't relevant to you decision to predict his future wife preferences if you consider your DS's basic well being as more important than someone else's personal preferences.

The relevant thing is, that almost everyone has some aspect or another that keeps them from being their lovers absolute ideal physical specimen. They may be slightly chubby, have a hairy back, be short, have droopy breasts, etc, etc. We love them though, so we don't care.

I just wanted to say that in my circle of friends, we all prefer an intact penis.

It's natural and nice, just the way it's supposed to be.

If you want to go 'shock and awe' you could say something like 'what if there is NO future wife? but a future husband?' I would imagine that would cause them enough pause to realize it's NONE of their business. I have said 'it's always something that can be done later, but can't be undone.'

I'm intact and I'm married to a woman who comes from a culture where circumcision for males is nearly universal. It truly won't matter. Your son will be fine and he'll find a partner. The idea that he would be undesirable to all women because he's intact is a flagrant lie.

So they are admitting to your face how shallow and misinformed they are?

DISGUSTING.

Maybe we should get our daugthers boob implants for their future husbands
OR
All have C sections to save "down there" for our husbands
Or
At least have vaginal tightening done afterwards

ughhhh. no one should do ANYTHING to ANYONE'S body for the BENEFIT of someone ELSE!

k....nuff said!

Regarding the theory that vaginal birth ALWAYS results in changed/inferior muscle tone, appearance, etc ... it's just not true. A fable, much like the fable that circumcised penises are dirtier, uglier, etc. Yes, some women do experience changes, but by no means is a woman "ruined" after vaginal birth. Some women and their partners even experience an increase in pleasure.

I know...that was the point

I was being sarcastic and showing just how much "myth" is involved in the OP's friend's statement as well...

This has got to be one of the most ridiculous arguments for circ out there.

I think I should go get DD breast implants because guys like big boobs....I mean that is how stupid this sounds.

Truth be told, more boys are left intact than cut these days, so more than likely this won't even be an issue, and by golly if my son got involved with a chick who thought his natural body was gross, she's gonna have one mad MIL to deal with.

This is just stupid.

Are you sure? I am wondering if it's the "he should look like dad."
