So, ds1 demonstrated his newly retractible status tonight in the bath. He is 6.5, and his brother, 5, was totally impressed. Funny parenting moment. As was the, "now it is your job to retract and rinse every bath/shower." somehow, i don't think this will be an issue, LOL.

Anyway, i noticed that ds1 has a bluish part to his glans, kind of at 7-8 o'clock as i look at him face to face. The rest of the glans looked normal/pinkish-red.

I did not mention to him, and i assume that the bluish part is just a vein/area of venous tissue that appears bluish due to deoxygenated blood there. But, at the same time, I thought I'd ask here to verify my instinct that this is totally normal.

And, for the record, this is the same son that my old ped said had an unusually "tight " foreskin at 9 mos (before I knew that peds should not manipulate foreskin) ... Guess she was WRONG, huh?

The normal color of the intact glans is a deep purple/red color. My guess is the part that looked more pink has been detached for longer than the part that is darker in color. It should even out over time would be my guess.
