The article explains that Dr. Atala has succeeded at treating injured Mexican youths by culturing their own cells to grow a transplantable urethral tube.  No anti-rejection drugs are needed. 

 

This concept makes the case for leaving hypospadias cases intact until they can both weigh in on their own treatment and also benefit from these evolving therapies.

Hey Ron, The link didn't go through, will you double check your source ? Also, do you know what can be done if anything if the surgery has already been done? Google bladder exstrophy.

There was a mystery word in the link that wasn't visible in the forum diplay, so I copied the link to a text editor to syrip that out and then re-copied back to the forum, so it's fixed, thanks.
