So the wife of dh's co-worker is pregnant. I don't know them well enough to attend the shower but I've met them a handful of times. They are nice but not "deep thinkers" if you get my drift. Is there a packet or pamphlet I could have sent to them that would be completely anonymous? I wouldn't want dh to get in trouble. My dh said he might bring it up with the dad at some point, but he'll have to be careful because the fellow is a co-worker.

since you asked for a packet, savingpenises.org will send a lot of info to people, annonymously.  I've done it twice now & I don't know what happened to the first babe (not even sure if it was a boy), and I may not know what happens w/ the 2nd.  Okay, it's here now: http://www.thewholenetwork.org/information-packs.html  I may order one for myself just to see what all is in it!

HTH,

Sus

Baby the babies while they're babies so they don't need babying for a lifetime.

Don't you think that could misfire? If I were pregnant and got an anonymous postcard about baby genitalia, I'd be more freaked out by it, wondering who was responsible for sending me something like this (some pervert?!) and thus far less inclined to actually look at the information from a rational perspective.

At first I was inclined to agree with this, but then I remembered all the information I got in the mail when I was pg with DD. You sign up for baby registries at Target and Babies R Us and all of the sudden your mailbox is flooded with crap. Honestly, it would probably get lumped in with all the Similac coupons and single packaged Huggies.

yeahthat.gif  I've gotten so much mail about formula and cord banking and baby clothes that getting a postcard like this wouldn't register as creepy.  I actually wish I had received an anti-circ postcard... it's important info!

Crap, yes. I lost my first.. a late term stillborn. All that junk mail was doubly painful for me.

I didn't think of her being freaked out but I hope she won't. Here in the Pacific Northwest the circ rate is pretty low anyway.. I just wanted to cover the bases.

I was so naive that I didn't hear of circ until hubby and I were sitting in childbirth classes and watching a video. Whew. Thank goodness our Bradley teacher covered that or I might have been oblivious. Once I was informed I was horrified. Then I realized through some tough conversation that my dad was whole.. his father was a Swedish immigrant and did not allow his sons to be cut. My Jewish in-laws flipped out at the "keeping our baby intact" thing but what can you do? I knew that keeping my son whole was important to us and to him.

The info Packets from the WHOLE Network actually includes DVD's and such.  Much less likely to be overlooked.

I agree.  I think it would be creepy and pushy, personally.

I think you should either discuss it with her in person or let it go.  Sending anonymous packets in the mail is odd.  It's nothing like diaper and formula coupons, those are expected.  Having someone encourage you not to circumcise is completely different.
