THAT certainly sounds like a fine idea, mamajulie. You might want to give her a few weeks(?) and then pick a point from the book to bring up in a general manner. Baby steps. Here's hoping for the best possible outcome.

From what I read on the linked site, it looks like they give no pain medications at all for the circumcision, just sugar/water pacifier. That is followed up by Tylenol post op. They justify it by talking about the natural endorphins. Bull S#!+.

I would recommend bringing this to your sister's attention and sending her the link to a circ video. Then insist that she be there for the procedure to be sure they aren't lying to her when they agree to pain meds. Maybe the video, the inference that no anesthesia will be used and her having to face her son's torture will bring a dose of reality to her.

Perhaps you could suggest that she should just do one thing in the next several weeks:
GO TO THE HOSPITAL AND WATCH A CIRCUMCISION :binky
Tell her this way she will know exactly what is going to happen to her own baby.
And she can ask the nurses about pain medication etc.
As a matter of fact, her husband should come with her.
