So, on a small scale, what is the best avenue of intactivism?
I am a SAHM, with limited financial resources.
Need some advice for those experienced, and I'm sure it would help a lot of others, as well.

Honestly, speaking out on the internet alone is a big help. The more numbers the louder we are.

You could lamenate NOCIRC cards and hand them out to any pregnant mother you see. I'll make 15 at a time. When I've used those up I make 15 more.

Just pick a couple of forums and chat away about the value of leaving men intact. Don't forget to add some good links.

Write letters to the editor when a particularly good or bad article or TV news story is written. A lot of the ones that come out are brought to our attention on this board. Letters are powerful, the more the better!

make sure the doctors, midwives, doulas, childbirth educators, ob/gyn's, etc. all have good information and encourage them to speak up (to be proactive)because parents often have many misconceptions.

It also gives these professionals proper intact information

Here's a thread with some resource ideas:

Yes, the medical/birth professionals in my area- those are the first I want to target... I think DOC will send them info for me if I give them the address.

I am alumni at the college, DH works at the public library. I am hoping they will buy copies of the PBS documentary Whose Body? Whose Rights?... The college especially, they have a foreign/artsy film thing everymonth, and I'm going to request they show this.

I am a "not working" artist, and I am really thinking of having a soft sculpture exhibit of genitalia-- I believe there are slots for alumni in the gallery.

I'm just trying to think of all the different avenues I can go with.

Does anyone have a standard "letter" that they send out to editors, congressmen, all that jazz?

A recent powerful film called "Cut" about a young orthodox Jew exploring and rejecting circumcision. Not just the religious part both the social and medical part. 70 min. NOw available on DVD. See the trailer and order here:

http://cutthefilm.com/Cut_Website/Home.html

This was originally shown at the Hillel house at the University of CHicago a year ago, and has had a few other public showings. It would be great to show it on a campus, especially if you can do some good advertising and are prepared to runa a comment or panel section. And have genital integrity handouts available. Your position in the college and library could be very helpful.
