It was a bunch of things. The history of how it became popular in the US, the fact that there's 20,000 nerve endings in the foreskin, and there's less chance of impotence later on in life changed his mind. Plus we were talking about it with my stepson and my stepson was really upset that he didn't have a choice in the matter. His 12 yr old son had a big impact on him!

Good for you  -  and for your future son!!  Once one knows the facts, and looks at RIC objectively, it suddenly comes into focus as a very bizarre custom!!

Well done for convincing your DH - and good on him for taking a common sense approach.

Fantastic!

That must be a relief for you.

Depending upon how old your stepson is, you can mention that he can restore and let him do some research on that.  Your husband too, if he is interested.

Regards

It is more a matter of maturity and responsible, coupled with your comfort level.  It must be them taking responsibility and doing it, not you pressuring them.  Their body, their choice.  Many feel it best to wait until after puberty, so their penis has reached full development.  They can start any time, so there is no rush.  Waiting until they are an adult, waiting until after college, waiting until their 40s, all good.  Your job is to make the information available and be supportive of what they want.

Regards
