I think this is a vent.

For the past 3 weeks I've been having this terrible, sharp upper abdominal pain that stops me in my tracks and makes me want to cry. Last week I finally got in to see my MW who thought the pain was a hernia but wanted to get an u/s of my gall bladder, liver, kidneys, and a complete ob u/s to really check out the placenta. Bloodwork, too, of course. Sooo, the gallbladder/liver/kidney u/s last week looked good. Bloodwork was fine. Today was the ob u/s (the tech also checked for a hernia at this u/s) and we discovered that I have low fluid. Baby looks fine, but now everybody is all worked up and I have to go back for weekly BPPs. I was induced for low fluid with DD. Obviously, because I ended up with a c section with her I cannot be induced if the low fluid continues to be or becomes a bigger issue. My doctor did say that after next week (37 wks) I should discuss some natural induction methods with the midwife. Not sure how I feel about that...

There's not really any point to this post. I'm just feeling discouraged. I already drink tons of water - how am I supposed to drink more?! The pain isn't from a hernia - it's a mystery pain. I still don't have any answers about what I went in for initially, and probably won't until after I deliver.

It was pretty cool to see baby practicing breathing The estimated (yes, I know how inaccurate it can be ) weight is 6lbs 14oz at 36 weeks.

Can I ask for some prayers? Some increased fluid, decreased pain, successful vbac, healthy baby prayers, please?

I'll be thinking about you. I hope everything turns out well. I know how scary it is to be faced with complications when you are hoping for a VBAC.

Big to you mama. I'm also going with the idea that it was low fluid day and that your baby is swimming in deep water today

Hanny-big hugs!I thougt I had this last week, and mw said to drink lemon water with a pinch of salt for electrolites too....I wonder if that could help? Also, maybe a chiro appointment for the mystery pain?My mystery pain turns out to be 3 huge knots in my lower back.Maybe some hot packs/baths,or some herbal hot packs or creams?I've been trying all the above,(exept the chiro)it's a workout regimen, but it is helping. The herbal pacs are from www.Herbal-pack.com. I've been using the aromatherapy shoulder pack on my back, heated up and it is a help.
Good luck mama, and lots of watery prayers for in there!

Ooh, I'll have to get some lemons. Or lemon juice. I've been seeing a chiro, and she was able to help with another mystery pain, but I don't think this one is going away until this baby arrives. Thanks so much for the info!
