Tomorrow (10/14) is a full moon. Think we'll have anymore babies?

i liked my mw's answer on this one (i'm due nov. 13th, another full moon)

if the woman believes in it, it'll happen. if she doesn't, it won't.
i'm sure there's SOMEONE on here that believes it and is considered term...

some doctors and nurses i have talked to strongly believe this, i think collective conciousness may contribute to it actually happening!

I was under the impression more babies were born under a full moon because more women ovulate and therefore get impregnated under a full moon?

On my DDC with Adrian, one of the moms had helped her daughter do a project on this... apparently it was actually more common on a new moon. But I am hoping for tomorrow!

eta: By my earliest edd I am 37+1, by the midwives I am 36+4.

This made me think of the cowardly lion in the Wizard of Oz: "I do believe in spooks. I do believe in spooks. I do, I do, I do believe in spooks."

Now I'm imagining full-term pregnant ladies outside looking up at the moon begging to go into labor

I think its presception.. People think more babies are born under a full moon so in their mind there are more babies born..
Personally, I don't think its true but Im a cynical person

It's only just after 5am here...I can see that lovely moon outside my front window. It's surrounded by fluffy clouds, all of which are glowing.

But no, Charlie, you can't come yet! Hee hee, next full moon, and you'll be perfectly welcome!

Ooh, interesting! This moon calendar goes way back (like to 3999 BC). I was born just after the full moon, and both my nephews were born just before the full moon (but they was due at or just after the full moon and both were a week early). I'm due just after the full moon (the 15th), maybe my LO will be a little before too.

Actually, I think it is true. When I was in labor with DD the nurse in L&D said they always added more nurses to the flooor during a full moon, and that they were always prepared to be busier. She said it was definitely true, but that's just anecdotal evidence, I guess!

I dunno mamas, just got back from MW and am 2 cm dilated I have been ordered to not have sex, not lift anything and keep this baby cooking as long as possible...I am hoping it is just a fluke (I'm a hopeless optimist, lol) but who knows, maybe the full moon will make it happen
