It hurts. Even when I sit and stretch on the birth ball. Also every sleeping position hurts except being on my back which I'm not supposed to do. Sigh.

Here's an aside TMI I didn't expect: it's painful to bend over myself to wipe. This LO's foot is like practically kicking out my right boob. My arms just aren't long enough anymore!

I'll be happy when DH can carry this little babe for a couple hours here and there.

Right there with you. I almost dread going to bed at night because I know I'll wake up unrested, stiff, and sore. I'm exhausted during the day from the lack of rest. I guess it's all practice for after the baby's here, but at least I'll be able to be physically comfortable.

Did your healthcare provider tell you not to sleep on your back, or did you read it somewhere? I've heard/read/been told by my mw it is okay to sleep in any position so long as it doesn't cause you discomfort, and you will know if it is uncomfortable.

For my first pregnancy, sleeping on my back was one of my favourites and I did it throughout my entire pregnancy. This time, I can only sleep on my left side without getting light-headed/nauseous.

If you are really worried about sleeping on your back, a trick is to prop a pillow under your right slide, even just slightly. It is often enough to take the pressure off (if you are experiencing any).

Anyway, listen to your body and do what feels right but good rest/sleep is so important right now.

Good luck!

I sleep on my back as well.. If I sleep on my sides Ill wake up in so much pain that I won't be able to move. Ive actually woken up crying a couple of times my back and hips hurt so bad. I just use either a pillow or a rolled up blanket so I don't feel so bad about it. I told my OB about it and he told me not to worry about it as long as its comfortable andI can get some sleep. He was more worried about me going periods without sleeping than he was about me laying on my back.
