She asked, is your child fully vaccinated? I told her we don't vaccinate. She whispered, "Good!"

It was funny that she whispered. We were in a private room with the door closed, LOL.

Wow....That is great. I wish I could go to your doc! I just had to find a new one. I found one that is ok with it and won't harrass me or make me feel like crap, but will make reccomendations if she feels they are warranted. I guess I can live with that!!

Cool! My baby's ped. "recommends" them but is cool with not doing it. I also refused to sign the waiver and he said he didn't blame me and thought the waivers were a stupid idea...but he's required to get them. (Didn't get one from me. )

Yay!! : It always feels so good, after all the flack we get, to have a doctor agree and applaud our choices. My youngest was born at home, and when I went to register for a social security number for him I had a similar situation happen. The rep at the SSA office started asking q's about his vax status (so NOT her business), and I said he wasn't and we weren't going to. I was bracing myself for a fight, but she actually applauded me and said that everyone should make decisions once they've investigated the options thoroughly. I just about fell out of my chair, but it felt really good to hear.

Doesn't that just make you breath a huge sigh of relief! After going through three ped in Columbus - sorry central OH mamas, I know what you're going through - I found one through an MDC mama who totally supports me not doing vax. Before that I lived in fear of doc appts.

Doctors see the vaccine reactions all of the time. I suppose it takes courage to admit it.
