Hi there,

I'm not Australian, but we're in the process of emigrating there. What are you looking for specifically...recommended schedule? exemptions? From what I've ascertained, vaxing is NOT compulsory in Australia but they will ask for either the documentation that your child has been vaxed upon registering for school/medicare or for the conscientious exemption form that you can file with the gov't. It requires a doctor's signature. We haven't gotten that done yet so I can't tell you if it's easier said than done or not.

Some sites to check out...

http://www.medicareaustralia.gov.au/...r/schedule.jsp

http://www.medicareaustralia.gov.au/...acir/index.jsp

http://www.medicareaustralia.gov.au/...ction_form.pdf

http://www.avn.org.au/library/

http://health.gov.au/internet/main/p...unic-index.htm

Hope this helps a bit...

yup

it does depend on the state, from my understanding NSW has recently introduced laws where you need to provide the exempion form for school ect. However most states you dont need to provide it, you just provide their vacination record, which could be nothing. The exemption is really easy to get, that cant not sign it, you just have to listen to them tell you the risks of not vaxing, then they sign it, and you send it off, this also gets you the vax allowance eve if you are not vaxing.

Good luck

We are looking at moving at some point, possibly, and being the momma of a 10 and 12 yo non vaxed, unschooled boys, this was something I figured I should get some more info on from "mothering types".
Thanks,
Demetria
