...please tell me this guy isn't really a doctor...please please please.
This is extremely insulting. I would hand it back to her and say..."What a classy article...thanks."

The article is offensive, short-sighted and not at all based on science.

I would give a copy of it to her supervisor and tell her you were not pleased to have been called a "dumb ass" by the nurse and that further hostility from her will result in a call to human resources. How unprofessional!

I'm a morning person.  We actually do exist.

Very unprofesssional. I would go to her supervisor or the college of nurses. Report her.

I would complain to HR about this. You've been called a dumb ass basically. It's rude, unprofessional and purely inappropriate.

Well, I don't think I will report her, it was more of a friendly "look what I gotin my email" kinda thing than her walking around and pushing flu shots on people while calling them dumb asses, my concern was not the nurse, but the article, just the rudeness of it.... Apparently, only if you were nearly killed by the shot, this doc willcut u some slack. .. And everything else. It just made mefeel so angry...

Namecalling never got any one any where.

This is what the vaccine debate has been reduced to.

I would report it. Even if she doesn't get written up, she should have a stern talking to.

Ugh. I couldn't make it though the whole thing. How insulting. Reminds me of the saying "when you throw dirt, you lose ground" and that's all it is, dirt-throwing - no science, no facts, just dirt.

Gee, it was written by a doctor who does not believe in using vitamins. He must know what he is talking about---NOT!!

I thought the article was offensive and short-sighted. Not only would I tell the coworker that you were offended but I would also report it to her supervisor so that she knows in a serious way not to do this again. It does not make for a friendly work environment.

But he is an infectious disease specialist, so he knows what he is talking about!! How DARE you (or me) question him! My goodness, we should all be bowing and scraping at his most learned feet. I cannot stand the arrogance that suggests that just because one is a Dr. (or anything else with letters behind one's name), one knows it all, and therefore, should be deemed as respectable. I'm sure he knows more than I do, but that doesn't mean I don't have a brain capable of making a good decision, given enough information. I don't like being called something like that, just because I disagree with his conclusion on the matter.

I found the doctor's article to be ignorant and full of ad hominem attacks.

I would be offended if someone at work gave me an article like that to read regardless of whether I was to get the vaccine or not. Extremely unprofessional. How might she treat patients who are questioning or unsure about the vaccine?

Very well put and I agree. I just got in an arguement with my son's friend's dad about broken bones where he proceded to act like a know-it-all...and he's an eye doctor.

Eh, the article was stupid and offensive, and if I had been there as a patient then I'd absolutely complain. But since it was given from one employee to another, I'd just ignore it or casually mention my problem with it the next time I saw the person who gave it to me. "I didn't really think that article was funny...it was actually kind of offensive" would be far enough for me to take it, I wouldn't get HR involved.
