My then-6 yo ds got a nasty stomach bug. The doc tested it and it was *not* rotavirus. The best guess she could make was that it was some other enterovirus. He was almost hospitalized. My then 2 yo did *not* get it.

My twins got it when they were almost 3 and had weaned due to my pregnancy. The smaller twin (only about 1/2 lb smaller) ended up needing intravenous fluids because she just couldn't keep anything down or in and I looked at her and knew it was time to go to the ER. An important thing I learned was that when there is too much vomiting, the system gets so out of whack that the vomiting won't/can't stop. Had I known this, we would have gotten the IV fluids sooner. She recovered quickly. None of the subsequent 3 boys seems to have had it-yet.

I'm quite certain my 2yo has rv right now. He's had the vax. Last night it was a fever, and then he threw up in the middle of the night. Was fine most of today except for 3 VERY full diapers. The worst I have ever seen or smelled. Ew. Just ew. We'll see what happens tomorrow, but so far he has all the symptoms. Poor baby.

one of the most common side-effects of the vaccine is diarrhea, so I guess the CDC could also say that most of vaccinated are affected by the virus.
